I think it's going to be a touch stretch putting a typical fat suit on this body. The ones I've seen around are usually made for smaller bodies. If they stretch I suppose it could work, but you might not get a good stretch in all directions, making it difficult to put on and/or making the results unacceptable. Personally, I'm going to try the cotton pad and leg covers first - I'd hate to spend money on a fat suit that isn't going to work out.

thanks guys..here's more with the legs exposed..

I love the look of the lowered dome. Did you have to use a dremel?

Hi guys, well guess what! My Vader arrived with its tusk broken, so now I need to ask SS for a replacement head, right? But why should I have to destroy the damaged one? It was its fault so they should not care what we do with the bad helmet!

You don't have to destroy the old one so long as you are willing to pay for it.

I "think" and I could be wrong here... but they charge you 75% of the overall cost of the figure if you do not destroy the part.

Thats a very expensive spare head....

And the whole reason for the destruction is simply to avoid having the buyer ship the item back - less hassle and lest cost for both parties. Just don't go overboard in the destruction and take any risks where you might get injured. With the helmet, simply putting it on the ground outside and stepping on it with shoe/boot will be enough to kill it.

Pictures worthy of another repeat viewing.

It's hard to believe that's the same gloves with the big flare on them, looks really good.

I'm puzzled, how exactly do they know if you've destroyed anything?

On a different note, will the two part feet/boots on this new Vader fit the ANH vader easily?

Yup I had to send them pics of my destroyed Anakin head so they didn't charge me for replacing it.

Sometimes they ask and sometime they do not. When I had my Catwoman goggles replaced they never asked for a photo. Thankfully that meant that I continued to display the broken ones and kept the nice new fresh pair safe and sound.

So I got a shipping email from SSC in regards to my replacment items and it only shows the Anakin head and belt. No sign on the order for the replacment shoulder armor they said they would be sending. I really hope its in the order and it was just missed on the email. I guess I'll find out Friday when it gets here.

In-regards to my Vader the SSC didn't say about destroying the helmet I have w/the missing tusk, well not yet. Maybe when they get the new Vader heads they might ask to confirm.

I know the innaccuracies about the Hasbro suit but has anyone actually tried it out to see if it fit?

I have the Hasbro Electronic Vader within 6 feet of me at my desk, so… I can make a guess and say it will probably fit, however, it looks like it will be a mis-proportioned fit in some areas, especially the arms, which have a lot of material on the Hasbro. The large spacing between the seams on the Hasbro will also give it a poor scale look, which IMO, is worse than any of the deficiencies with the stock suit.

I took two Hasbro suits and re-tailored them for the Vader I was kitbashing, this one is on the TTM20 body. It's obviously not finished yet.:)

It's a great figure, but I am a little disappointed that there are so few left hands to pick from and we can not reproduce these two iconic poses. A pointing left hand would be nice, but an open left hand should have been a no brainer.

I think the guys in Sideshow's design department were watching a reverse print of the Star Wars movies when they decided that they needed more right hands than left. I would hen preferred the other way around.

I have a feeling that since they removed the "ESB" from this Vader that they will be releasing an ESB version down the road. Then you'll get more left hands, 'cept it'll cost ya another $250.00 - $300.00. :D
