Back to positive things.

Just noticed this on their FB page

I can't afford anything from Sideshow but with their work on Dinosauria, I'm really eager to see what they do for Godzilla.

I don't know when or what I will end up buying but I need a nice Godzilla in my collection.

If that new G2000 had been 18"-24" that could've been it.

I just find a Godzilla collectible below 18" to be rather insulting. :lol

Hulk I understand, but Godzilla, c'mon now.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

Pretty certain my collectible will be from NECA, not sure what scale. I will also definitely be getting the art book, but beyond that, nothing too costly, no budget for it.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

I'll try to get the Sideshow release if I can. I've got about $300 in Reward Points and some other statues I can sell if need be.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

I can't afford anything beyond the NECA version, which should kick some serious butthole. :D

Also hoping Jakks manages to put out a decent sculpt that's not too soft cuz I've always wanted a GREAT BIG G in the ol collection.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

I hope the poses for the SS Godzilla pieces are better than their pacific rim offerings. They made odd pose choices for that line...

I like the Knifehead pose. I think if there was one to get from that line to represent that film, he'd be the one.

Re: Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA - May 16, 2014

What's wrong with a Godzilla toy bigger than him? :lol

As much as I'd like a large Godzilla, I just have this feeling JAKKS' figure won't quite look as good as I'd want for such a large scale. If it weren't for price I'd jump on the NECA 18" but even $100 is too much, NECA/Bandai 7" or 12" will work out for me.

Oh, and just saw the Sideshow announcement in their newsletter, and they used the tagline, "The world ends, Godzilla begins."

I agree. Knifehead is the one to have. I'm not a fan of Gipsy's though, or Slattern. Gipsy looks like he's slipping and Slattern while cool execution for a "swimming" effect. I would have preferred a more dominating pose like his first emergence.

I wonder if SS will do some VS maquettes for Godzilla :panic:

I always loved the 6 inch Godzilla I had as a kid. I took it with me everywhere. Still have it :yess:

I'd probably force my kid to behave the same way :tap :lol
