My response is coming from a good place, first of all. :wink1:

I think Progmatinee means, try & do some more digging around the forum; discover the various tutorials & discussions out there, & feel free to join in at the same time - & I do know you have, to some extent already. :)

We've all started personal threads at one time or another to get some help on a specific project or whatever - & that's cool when it's in the customs section (& this thread really should be too), but yeah. If you come across as wanting to be drip fed with info, folks will just end up telling you what I've just said - in a less than polite way.

It's a community - we should be helping each other - but yeah, read, explore & discover stuff too! :)

This outfit with dirt will be the outfit im going to use with the sideshow head

I did a body swap and gave the Sideshow head to a TTL female body since the triads necks are too stumpy.
The TTL body balances out the emphasized head size making it appear normal to this body

I need to find someone who makes backgrounds so i can use these for snyderman's sculpt and my version of ANH dress.

That background is easy. Just get a piece of plex with the craft paper on it. Cut down to size. Draw or plot the concentric circles on the craft paper side or glue down a plot of them. Carefully cut the circle lines out and then spray paint it white. Pull the rest of the paper off once dry and voila, you have your read out.
You can also draw it in CAD and find a laser plotting place to burn it on plex. Same process, just a little more money, but big time saver.

Yeah, it does. It's thick but can be futzed after a little water treatment.

You know, Groovy, you rarely get 1/6th sculpts with all that much emotion. The standard dead pan kinda look is the norm.

My Ben is a SS head repainted by Skiman, SS clothing, belt and saber hilt, DID Brown German riding boots, a Narrow Shoulder TT with a Nick Fury Fat/Body suit and Hot Toys relaxed hands. Here's some better, but not great, pics:

If you're going to go and try to put together high quality customs of the main SW characters I would suggest doing one at a time. it sounds as if you have Leia just about all dialed in. I used the Snyderman head for mine as well.

Still waiting on the gown but the rest is just about finished.

That's a damn fine Ben, Flosi. The best I have ever seen. Nice job!

I'm looking forward to seeing your work, Groovy. Welcome to the SW section, I'm a ANH / ESB fan, newbie as well. That's all I have so far.

Enjoy.

Well unlike what i did with other post i'm holding off posting untill i have my entire cast done from the rebel side. I think im going to go hasbro for storm troopers their minor characters anyway. I have an interrogation droid. I'm going to see if my painter friend can hook him up with a platform and im going to put a needle in the one arm. I'm looking at materials to make princess leia's cell to do a dio

Yea I'm going to make this out of plexi glass I ment the bacground behind it i'm not comp tallented enough to snag it without her or chart's since there are 3 layered. If i could get the background so i don't need to make multiple charts and dress more people it be nice.

I picked up Yoda from medicom for 89 bucks hope that was a steal i believe he was more when he came out.

thats what i thought I looked at the sideshow facees and i really like his sculpt. I don't care about articulation for this little dude he won't be doing much just standing there. not sure what hair to pick up to wig him.

Wow! That's a good deal. I don't see it under US$165 from eBay.

Yeah, I saw that BIN. I took my chances with the auction that was up at the same time. I got him for $53. :rock

I've seen him go for around that price from numerous auctions but I was always sniped or missed the end. I nabbed him this time. :)

Yeah, I'm pleased with the purchase. I've wanted him for some time now but didn't want to pay much for him.

same here for a little dude like yoda 50-60 dollar range is a smarter deal. i didnt; get the jedi master I know the stand and chair is suppose to be a reason to pay that much but it doesn't float my boat.

thats why i hope if they do make R2D2 that it will come with everything.
all utility arms,antenna,para-scope and light saber chamber and lights and sounds. I could see paying medicom's price for something like that if he was 7" tall or 7.25" which is closer.
now if he moved with a little remote and cost the medicom cost then id say they will have a winner that will sell out in a month.

Hi everyone. New to the Star Wars forum. Is there a thread to ask questions on some vintage (70's) smaller figures? Thanks!
