Superman is often though of as boring as he is overpowered and there isn't much of a fight most of his villains can put up againt him.

MOS succeeded in overcoming that at the very least. His villains were a match and his fights were a chore and it was visually exciting.

The death of the people of Metropolis didn't bother me so much as in the end he saved the majority. Like ol Mr Spock says "the needs of the many outweight the needs of the few".

And it was cool to see Supes in proper action for once, even though it went too long and granered action fatigue

I see it as the needs of the many (saving humanity and preserving Earth from Zod) outweigh the needs of the few (lives in Metropolis that couldn't be saved during the Kryptonian attack)

But y'know different strokes and all that

"Saved the majority". :lol

I'd hate to be the "minority" in Metropolis then. Instead of shedding a tear for the villain and quipping about the government spying on him, they should have had a moment of reflection on all those that were lifted from the earth and violently slammed into the cement.

Don't forget though, the suit was iffy to begin with and even at 92% the suits power was rapidly draining. We saw how crappy it was in the beginning. We saw how these Extremis soldiers could easily take them over.

There's also that whole added drama of, "We've got to make a decision. We can either save the President or Pepper. We can't do both" while Stark is still in the suit. It's not like it was just some random decision the script makers through in. Those two reasons set it up.

Takin' my material . . .

Anyway, "I am Iron Man", "the suit and I are one". Iron Man/Tony Stark STILL saved those people, regardless.

Would it have been better if they simply cut out the truck slamming the suit into oblivion and Stark being aboard the boat off to save Pepper? Sure. But they clearly set up the idea of a remote suit in the beginning of the film where Stark is downstairs making more suits and Pepper thinks she's talking to him, in suit. That was the beat, the play off. Something we'll probably never see again in a future Iron Man film.

You can have decoys to your heart's content, but if Tony Stark doesn't get his *** in a suit, there's no Iron Man. Period.

Tony Stark can use all the fancy gadgets in the world and he can use a remote suit to save as many flight attendants as he wants, but it's not as Iron Man. The costume means everything in CB films; if they don't wear it when it counts, what's the point?

It honestly would have been better if the suits went "bad" or got taken over remotely by the Mandarin in order to teach Stark a lesson about relying too heavily on Jarvis to make everything work.

That would've been awesome. The Mandarin (not Guy Pearce) hijacks Starks Armoury and Stark suits up (in a fully functional and durable suit) to battle his own iron man drone army suits.

Iron Man (in the suit the whole time) fighting a slew of iron man armours would've been a much cooler final battle.

"Saved the majority". :lol.

Well he did.

If he didn't fight the Kryptonians and just hid then they would have killed all of humanity to spite him.

If he turned himself in, they retrieved the Codex and he ddn't fight them then they would've killed all humanity and terraformed Earth into New Krypton.

Either way the majority would've died if he didn't fight them and win.

I know Superman is true blue and supposed to save the world, defeat the villians and all without breaking a sweat, but he was facing multiple villians with the same power level. With those odds it's impossible to defeat them all without lives being taken.

Imo they should've showed a scene with him fighting one of them, then afterwords the other kryptonians bring back a body to show Superman and the audience that he can't save everyone from them.

Avengers 2: Age of Ultron

Still doesn't help things for IM3. They could have given us some foreshadowing of the greater menace to come, but they were too busy pretending a series of lame fake-outs would make a great movie.

That's were my imagination went after the trailers came out.

According to critics, and normal people, it did.

Whoa, don't go throwing that word around! :horror

Jarvis will be stolen and converted to Ultron, remember now, no Hank "wife beater" Pym in Avengers 2.

Maybe IM3 remote suits plotline served a greater purpose.

The lolcats will come home to roost.
