I know you guys can't see this from the pic but I tried to emulate the texture of the fabric on his tunic by using the side of a rolled blending tool:
I picked up some of the black material from the background on the ribbed side of the tool and followed the flow of the material both ways to create a cross thread look. It was a cool experiment and in some areas it came out well but ended up being lost a bit after I made the tunic more uniform in terms of lighting. Still, I thought it was kinda neat.
Oh, and thank you guys. My friends here have been so supportive of my drawing and I just want you guys to know it means the world to me.
I still have Chewie for Barry sitting, and he will be finished... I'll get on Titus' ewok right after that and I plan on using a similar technique on that piece as I used here on ol Ben. I've not forgotten.

I agree... one of the guys that now does celebrations started on Rebelscum. I commissioned his first card ! It was a Hammerhead of course.
