No cause of death as far as I know. And the last time I heard he came up with a negative HIV test, the first one ruined his career.

Maybe but the most recent pics I saw of him looked like someone who was either dying of cancer or HIV.

OMG! :horror so sad. Just googles the recent pics and how he looked when in Rocky V

Man, its difficult to not feel sad...such a change in appearance is always a shocker! :(

sad the guy was in total denial, his own mother attests to that.........what annoys me is the boxing commision allowed money to win through instead of safety

What's so upsetting was, he could of been another legend of boxing but he had the legs of his career swept out with that test, regardless of it being true or false.

That's completely false. What "swept out the legs" of his career was a brutal KO loss to Ray Mercer and a one-sided beat down by Lennox Lewis that resulted in a TKO. That and the fact that the only truly great fighter he ever managed to beat was George Foreman, by decision, when Foreman was 57. Not to mention he never fought for or held a relevant title in Boxing.

All that happened BEFORE the positive HIV test in 1996.

^^^ that is correct Devil, good posting.

Nevertheless too many fighters are dying young, and not necessarily from the battles in the ring, but the battles many, if not many of us face outside of it. Life is tough, but sometimes through the choices one makes--good and bad--the demise of someone is hastened.

Absolutely correct! :goodpost:

To this day it's still one of the most brutal KO's I've ever seen in Boxing. Resulted in Morrison suffering a broken jaw that had to be wired shut.

He's extremely misguided on his thoughts about aids.

I don't watch too much boxing, but I remember that. It was like a movie boxing match, where he just froze there, getting repeatedly punched. I remember being like 10 or 11 just wincing at the sounds the punches made.

I'm not nearly as versed in boxing as most of you, I always just under the impression he would of had a promising career if it hadn't been for the test so I apologize.

Still no official cause of death, I'm guessing it's got to be HIV because if it was a heart attack they would of said so by now.
