A Tab only separates one of 3 batteries....

I know that. Doesn't answer my question. But it prevents current to go through i.e. lights won't work. So preserves the batteries? Figure that's why toy companies put them in, so batteries don't drain.

I was wondering if reinserting the plastic tab would serve the same purpose as taking out the batteries to preserve life and prevent battery leakage. With the tab there is no current going through. Guess this doesn't just pertain to IM, but the Tesseract suitcase, Coulson's Destroyer gun, etc.

It may preserve the charge, but I don't think it prevents them from leaking.

Shameless product placement :lol

how many people actually have leaking batteries? we know it 'can' happen but how often does it really happen? i've seen a handful of people say it did. someone should have a poll.

Where do you guys buy batteries for your hot toy figures? I'm new to this and my eyes nearly popped out of my socket at the price of single watch battery at department store here ($6 a pop) then realizing how many i need to get when I opened up my MKVII. The battery in the head unit died so I took them out to discover one of them is deformed, so I took the rest out as precaution.

Depends on where you live, walmart sells them for like 5.99 per battery and the lady had the nerve to tell me I won't find them any less cheaper, so I went to a local Jewelry store and they had them for 1.99 per battery, not bad at all I Would say. But online ordering from the UK can provide you some good deals.

Well today is finally the day I get the first of my PO'ed Mark 7's, so of course I am going in early and leaving early at work so I can hopefully be at home when the UPS person comes. I will be pissed if I get home and just miss him, as then I will have to wait until tomorrow to get him from my Rental Office.:panic:

I hate that feeling when I missed a delivery from the UPS guy. Even worse is when you know they didn't make an honest effort to reach you for delivery and you get the re-delivery notice. :slap

Unpopular opinion - The Señor Stark head that comes with the MK VII actually looks pretty good in hand. The paint application is great and it actually looks like RDJ. After opening up the box I was really surprised how good it looks in-hand. I'm sure there are better RDJ Tony Stark sculpts from Hot Toys but with this being my first Iron Man figure I really like it.

That's cool if you like it, it's your money and that's all that matters. I can't argue the paint app on the sculpt, it's fantastic in that department. Likeness wise, it isn't as good as the Mark IV but it smashes the horrible Mark III out of the water :)

It's not a problem of current running through, what it is that causes the problem is the battery itself breaking down and allowing the contains to leak out.
