Re: Finished: Custom 1/6 The Bat-Bunker Diorama - many pics on page 10

Amazing work indeed!! Attention to detail and execution. Beats much more elaborate dios ppl show off or are working on thinking they are the man. This is clean yet imposing and you sure should be proud of it!!

Is this from Toys Legend Bat Armory?

Awesome job man!

Thanks man! Yes, the armory is the one Toys Legend made.

Thank you so much my friends! I really have no words to express my appreciation for all the great feedback I get on the project!

Personally I see my work "only" in the 1/6 realization, by meticulously getting the details and proportions right and building it as realistic as I could in this scale.

I really admire all the artists that originally designed the Bat-Bunker for the movies, as it's such a great puristic design they developed.
Imo the Bat-Bunker is one of the most important parts of the movies to build up the great feeling that Nolan's Batman interpretation, especially TDK create.

dammit Pirate, that display is awesome! Makes me hate my TDK/TDKR display (just a book shelf).

What's the dimensions of the entire thing?

Thanks buddy! You can get quite a lot out of a book shelf! :1-1:
You mean this one, right?

This is a beauty. Im speechless

Re: Finished: Custom 1/6 The Bat-Bunker Diorama - many pics on page 10

I actually like more spacious settings eg your bunker with batpod and armoury and Bruce but at least for my any spacious setup lasts only weeks before they have to share space with new comers ;)

Are you going to be offering these for sale?

I haven't kept up on this thread but I've been meaning to check in and see how you were getting on with it. Looks amazing man. Congratulations. As others have said, you must be very proud. And rightly so. :hi5:

I meant your bunker.

Your regular shelf display is awesome as well. I love the background from each movie

:lol I can hear you! Actually I hold the opinion that less can sometimes be more but some things simply make it hard not to display them so it's in a way always about compromises.

The Bat-Bunker diorama now gives some additional room an I think I have one final setup in mind but only time will tell if it's really final or if some new comers will demand some space of it, too. :lol

Just dropped you a pm. :wink1:

That's what I first thoght about but I think I'll display it with the Tumbler on the top together with my wip Lucius kitbash holding the Tumbler blueprint

and inside there'll probably be the Bat-Pod, Bruce Wayne at the Armory and my wip Alfred kitbash with a secret accessorie  you'll probably like.

That is awesome. Good job man! Had I the room and the cash I would so want to commission one of these.

Thanks man! Actually I don't really have the room for it, too but it was simply a must have for me and at least the vehicles still needed a home, anyhow :lol.

Re: Finished: Custom 1/6 The Bat-Bunker Diorama - many pics on page 10

How much did it cost you to build? And on a scale of 1-10 how hard was it?

Sorry, I somehow overlooked your question by now.
This one is close to 1K in parts already but I still have some parts to add, like an acrylic window for the open sides.

Actually a very difficult part was to get the accurate specs before I could make a concept and start building it.
The inner concrete textures were the most difficult part imo. It was very difficult to get them to look accurate as you have to take many aspects into consideration, first of all the lighting situation.

It's difficult to give it a number, some other things worked easier than expected. In a sum I'd give it an 8.

Sadly I still didn't find the time to finish these two kitbashed future Bat-Bunker inhabitants as mentioned before:

Looking forward to make some more setup pics starring them in a while.

Thanks man! The Alfred sculpt is by J&N project, just tried to dig for the thread which was in the custom section but I couldn't find it by now.

As far as I know there were 30 of them made. A friend of mine got his hands on two of them and this one is a gift I got from him as got to know I was searching for it a long time.

Couldn't believe it when I had it in hands the first time. The painting and texture is the most realistic and detailed I've seen in this scale so far.
Will try to make some better pics in a while.

Re: Custom 1/6 The Bat-Bunker Diorama - many pics on page 10

wow ~ yeah: that alfred looks much better than the ones available right now. bummer it's no longer kicking around. i've put off making an alfred or a fox for lack of good sculpts.

can't wait to see your bunker all set up with the props and figs!

That's true, was a long search for both of them, also for Lucius, was also a friend of mine who got it but this one I had to pay for. :lol

There actually is one Alfred on ebay atm:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/300884939924

The price is insane imo and I'm also not sure if the painting is done that well, but it's probably only about the lighting and the quite big size of the pics he made.
