Well, we know they're doing the Arkham City Joker. So perhaps this is referring to a 1/4 version or something else.

And seriously, what is there left to do with Iron Man? Are they going to do every single suit from every single zoomed-out wideshot in that crappy movie? By that logic, we should've gotten an Angel of Death from Hellboy II. IMHO that would've made a much cooler figure.

Hot Toys is learning from Side Show :lol Sideshow does the same thing with Star Wars by making every single suit/meaningless character from those films...I mean how many stormtroopers can they make?

What is HT VIP?

and i cant blame Chan The Man for doing more IM3 he is their bread winner, i mean it is The Biggest BlockBuster of the summer.

The way it said "another" joker and the fact that they are just in talks about it makes it seem like it'd be another version of a pre existing figure. So I reckon either another Nicholson or Ledger. Don't see what else they could do with Ledger so logic would say it'd be a Nicholson, maybe a mob version. But you never know with Hot Toys. Could be anything.

Yup.

They coulda do the nurse version and this time giving the suspenders making them more accurate than the 2.0. And also a rooted hair.

Also, there can never be too much of iron mans. All repaints must and can be done and will sell out regardless.

My chinese is not the best but i from what i read from the interview.

Pepper Potts he said is a real big chance.

Joker... he said if they can think of a way to further improve and make it more luxurious, from a business stand point of view, there are not ruling out the possibility.

Regarding the Iron Man's, to be direct, people love it, and people keep on buying it, so we'll continue to make it. We have the 1/6 licence, the scale everyone wants, so we dont give a **** about the 1/4, or those mini 1/12 versions of the character. Kevin Feige at Marvel is a fan of us, we're safe in the licence department.

The rest of the interview is a little about the sudden annoucment of The Crow, about the Storm Riders figure, and about their image in HK how these exclusives cause too many problems (scalpers and collectors have to line up and days ahead of time to get them) and how they want to improve and make it better.

Right now, I don't want to hear about anything other than WTF IS TAKING SO LONG WITH THE GODDAMN AMAZING SPIDERMAN FIGURE

Waita minute, they dont give a **** bout 1/4 now? So no more 1/4 iron man or avengers that they teased a while back?

They could make joker better by doing real hair, which i think they'll do soon enough.

HT VIP, is the Toyhunters membership card.

For members like me, you get an extra 10% off on pre-orders. If there is an exclusive item, then only VIP members can order that version, but then you give up your 10% discount.

Because of the huge lineups for HT figures, ever since Mark 42, VIP members get priority pre-order. If the figure is announced on a Friday, then Friday and Saturday will be a VIP only priority pre-order, while regular people can line up with the other hundreds of people on Sunday.

Also, the comic-con exclusives, all VIP members have priority to order 1 of each figure. While, starting from this year, regular people can go online and register and they will do a random pick.

They've stopped registeration for VIP's for a good 3-4 years now, and alotta HT fans want to apply. Howard said in the interivew, they DO want to re-open applications, however, there are just too many scalpers. If they re-open it, the risk of another bunch of scalpers becoming VIPs will ruin the purpose, so they need to think carefully how to approach this matter.

Marvel and sony should refuse them the licence until they Release that Figure, i mean thats crazy the figure probably wont even be out until after ASM2 hits

is it available to americans?

and HT could take some liberties by making a joker figure that wasnt in the movie, like they do with iron man

Just need to go to toy hunter in HK and spend like 7k or 9k HKD (dont remember the exact amount) and you are automatically a VIP. But to PO, you need to go down there and pay deposit, so not sure if you'd be a ble to use your VIP status if you reside in the US.

Unless you have someone in HK whos willin to that for you. Since the queuing up to PO HT on toy hunter can be very long and exhausting.

People loved Hulk. Why not go back and do Ed Norton's Hulk and the Abomination? Why the never-ending slew of Iron Mans? I'd rather see that for a change if Marvel has to be their big thing now.

They need to make random questionaire for each applicants if they wanna apply. Like all comic or figure related. I think that way it'll filter out those immigrant workers and helpers scalpers.

I really don't understand whats so hard to understand, Enterbay has the 1/4 Dark Knight licence, there is no way HT is makeing a 1/4 Ledger. NO WAY !!! As in... get it out of your brain, its NOT HAPPENING !!!

Unless... you meant a 1/4 Nicholson Joker, then in that case, i'm a complete ****** and I appologize. 1/4 '89 Joker FTFW !!!

I don't think that'll help. I don't think there's even a way they can stop scalpers from registering. They can have someone with that knowledge leading them step by step if there is a questionaire or whatever it may be.

Its a walk in applicant sort of thing, not online. Maybe do it on a one on one interview before accepting. Sort of like applying for a visa. At a rate this is going, it'll be easier to apply for a visa than for a toy hunter vip.

Some misinformation about the iron man line. He didn't say they are focusing more on the IM line. The person who interviewed him asked how many more suits will they make. Howard said depends on the market needs and the reactions from the general public. He said since mark 33, new Tony Stark and Heartbreaker received good receptions (sales) along with the ones displayed at the Anicom show, he expects more suits will be made. There's a big chance of Pepper Potts figure being released later.

The interviewer also asked him how he felt about other scales on IM such as 1/4 and 1/12 released by other company and if HT will follow. He indicated that HT will not purposely compete in those scales. 1/6 scale figures still dominate the market. Cost and quality are important in consumers buying decisions.

He also mentioned that another version of the Joker is very possible, but he would not say which year Joker.

They asked Howard how the concept of creating the crow figure came about. He said they've always wanted to do one for the legendary character. But he was being introduced to a company which held the license by a friend early in the year. That's how it got started. And he stated the release of Brandon Lee figure didn't have any direct link to their earlier Bruce Lee figures lineup.
