I was at Toy Anxiety today and the received a shipment of 1/4 Neca Lone Ranger figures. I was checking them out, admiring how big they were.

Then it hit me - this is how freaking big HULK is! Day-um.

Is hulk the same size as them or almost there?
If he is... wow... jackpot!!

Geez, cool your ****ing jets. Everybody here always get so defensive whenever someone brings up exposed joints. I just wanted to see how people feel about the ones in this Hulk, they look pretty bad, even for an action figure. I still buy action figures, I just feel like it's time to try something new, specially for a figure like this. Rubber did not work, we all know that but other companies have came up with seamless bodies made of silicone. Silicone rubber is more stable and therefore less inclined to perish or otherwise deteriorate, better able to withstand higher temperatures and more resistant to attack by other chemicals.

I just feel like HT should try new things and push the envelope. You guys can't deny that this figure would look even better without joints. I know we'll get there one day though. I wouldn't be surprised if the Avengers 3 Hulk is a completely re-engineered figure.

You guys, man... no creativity and always so satisfied with the same old stuff.

Some may over react however given the prices these figures are climbing to many want a figure that will last.
If you have ever watched as one of your figures started to dry and split you can kind of understand why.

Would I love a Hulk with no joint lines? Sure. But I would also want one that last for years.
I am sure if HT's thought they could deliver that they would.

That being said, I am actually ecstatic with the results of the Hulk Hot Toys has crafted and I am real sure the joints can be less visible with quite a few poses.
I can live with that.

Canceled my WL before it converted to an actual order. Those horrible joints and the overall walmart toy look of this guy is something I just can't ignore, unlike most of you. My loss is someone's gain though, one more hulk for someone who might want it.

would you prefer they put a wire in the whole entire piece and have.....

BENDY HULK???

If you don't want articulated joints on your figure, then buy the non-movable and BORING statue

Comparing this to Hasbro or something sitting on a Walmart shelf is ridiculous and stupid talk!

I would say this is pretty close

Thor looks very much like Leo in that pic. Cool shot though.

What is that feeling you get when you realize your shelf space will forever be dominated by a freakish masterpiece of the finest imported sculpting from Hong Kong, when the Avengers realize they're just tiny satellites revolving around a Great Green Gamma Giant?

Pride. That's right.

Now it's time for all the Hulk haters to hide themselves away in secret compartments to stroke their shattered egos over how unrealistic their world has become, away from the thunderous approval of thousands and thousands of Hulk fans, away from the light of truth. They will cower and writhe on their basement floors enraged yet enfeebled by their anti-Hulkness. All their comments will be lost in time like Hulk tears in Hulk rain.

For those that did not pre-order, you should have listened to Shai! :cuss

:lol

I'm sure you could be super-duper creative and make a Tyler Perry Big Momma custom with the proper costuming. Speaking of exposed joints, I think you're smoking a bad batch there.

I said I cancelled it, didn't I?
If you like this Kmart figure so much get another one by all means! I personally don't like it and I would rather wait for the inevitable 2nd, 3rd, of 4th hulk HT makes without those horrible, horrible joints.

That's just silly to compare it to Wal-Mart quality toys. HT probably could have 'pushed the envelope' and tried a more seamless body, but as someone else mentioned, it's easy to see that pushing the price up to $500.00+ territory and maybe for a figure that wouldn't last as long as this one might. For a first attempt and at this price point, it's an excellent compromise. If you look at many of the photos, the joints become almost a non-issue as long as it's posed correctly. Don't think you're being very realistic given the limitations HT was facing with this character, but whatever. *shrugs*

You've got such a whiny attitude about it that I actually hope HT makes the joints more apparent on subsequent versions. :p

Agreed completely.

Totally agreed.

A collector of Hot Toys, eventually comes to accept this type of visible seams. Accept it and just want to keep buying and buying.

An outsider to the world of collecting, you may wonder why people pay so much for a figure as is, which looks more like a toy.

I am a collector but I returned to my origins, where figures such visible joints, were unacceptable.

so what are you expecting from a 1/6 scale action figure that is specifically made to move around like ALL 1/6 (12 inch) figures do? :dunno

if you don't want articulated joints, buy a statue that stands there and does NOTHING

The Sculpt on this piece is typical top notch Hot Toys

Personally, this figure seems a toy, and not a question of comparing it with statues, is a matter of what we are selling us

You guys that have issues with the joints make me giggle...how about you go ahead and display all your other figures without a shirt on like hulk those truetypes will reaaaaaallly shine. Did you really expect the joints to like...not show up?

Geez. Someone doesn't like a certain figure and therefore is considered a whiner.
Yeah, my expectations were probably a little higher, and well, this could have been my 17th HT figure.
I'm sure this will sell well and all, I just don like it. There.
Like I said, my loss is someone's gain.

I do think that some of the photos make him look more plastic-y and cheap, but IMO it's the photography, not the figure. The skin color varies from dark, rich green to nearly a bright yellow. His pants vary from mid-grey to rich purple. In some photos his skin looks reflective/shiny, in others it doesn't.

I'm not sure how anyone would expect no seams, seeing as he's wearing nothing but a pair of shorts. People act as if they are shocked that he has visible joints? Huh?

Nothing against that sculpt. I think is absolutely amazing.
It's just the joints that I don't like,
