Its always bugged me that for a black and white line you rarely see any white used.
If i had the time i would love to try and repaint that so it looked more like Raphaels art it looks like theres enough detail in the sculpt to do it.
The Batman Origins ones nice but the pose makes it look to similar to the Bermejeo Batman to me especialy with the similar style cape.

You make a good point.I have to agree the absence of white in the line is a little disappointing, adding it would make it pop with contrast. Hopefully this is something they'll experiment with on future releases. And yeah Lee Bermejo Bats did come to mind immediately for me too, still makes an awesome piece though I'll be picking this up for sure...just wish they'd give us some new villains sometime soon, a batgirl, and maybe even a robin

GG is doing a B&W for the first time, should be pretty awesome! Agree about the LB kind of pose. In fact it almost looks like its mirror image with a closed mouth instead
We've had other statues too with almost similar kind of generic poses. DC needs to hire some better people in their creative deptt.

Hi guys, I decided to let go of the Black and white line. I will keep a couple of favorite but most of them are going. Hit me a PM if your looking for anything in particular. I think I got the first 18 release and some 5 of the later releases. I will make a FS thread as soon I sort them out. Thanks

My apologies for the late reply for those who sent PM regarding the B&W Bats. Just got back from out of town trip with the family to Celebrate Father's Day. I wil get back to everybody as soon a sort out the statue.

Still can't see myself buying that one. All I think about is how that is half of the amount of money I could spend on a statue I really want.

I agree. I like Sergio , but I am just not too crazy about this one. I still really want George Perez, David Finch & Andy Kubert and there are a few that I am on the fence about like Cliff Chiang, Brian Bolland and Bob Kane etc, that I would get if the price was right.

I have the Perez Bats. It looks AWESOME in person. I'm a HUGE Perez fan so I couldn't pass him up. Finch and Bolland are the 2 that I want sometime down the line. They look good as well.

I wish I picked those two up...especially Finch, it came out fairly recent.
What a good day for me yesterday. Blackhawks win a HUGE game in OT and I just sniped a Finch B&W Bats off of eBay during the intermission before OT for $95 shipped. Happy day!
Now I just have to nail down the Bolland Bats.

Wasn't it $101 shipped... unless I was watching a different auction, I didn't bid because I thought it was a tad high...I am still kicking myself, as I could have bought it when it came out for $65.00 and didn't, thought I could get it later for the same price.
I am Rangers fan but what the hell go Blackhawks!!!
