Yes the figure and the base are exactly the same for the Ex and the reg. The only difference between reg and ex on this one is the one plant with open mouth.

Just looking at my Ivy, she really is a beautiful piece.

And they really shouldn't. It's a waste of their time and money. There are actual legit QC issues out there like the Psylocke ones, but then some people here feel so entitled to perfection that even a slight miscolored dot on her left thigh would give them enough reason to try to send her back.

People shouldn't expect perfection. They should expect $350 worth of perfection, which isn't perfect. It should be good clean paint applications, but slight flaws in a few select areas are to be expected. There are legit issues here and there like that weird running paint coming out of her nose, but some issues are insane and you wouldn't even notice them unless you looked for them.

If people expect not even a single mistake, then this isn't the hobby for them they should just hire people to make $1000 customs or make their own statues or something. The worst is the rose tinted glasses guys who go "Sideshow of the past would never let this threw my other pieces are perfect!" Yeah that's nice. Sometimes it turns out that way sometimes it doesn't.

I'm sure my Ganondorf has a speck somewhere that shouldn't be there, but I don't care. I haven't taken a magnifying glass to him. I rotated him and enjoyed the details and he's awesome. That's perfect enough for me. I mean seriously some people here post x100 zoomed in pictures of her at certain angles just to try to convince people that there might be an issue. My goodness.

:goodpost:

I am picky as all heck, BUT if I got a piece that had some MINOR problems that I could fix I would do it. Now brakes, MAJOR GOOGLY eyes, chips, those types of things I would be calling about to see what could be done.... but I would be looking to fix some of the issues myself before I returned an otherwise beautiful piece.

Ex arrived, perfect face, base, vines are painted great....this is the issue..a crust between her boobs....keep or return:dunno

Return. That's a major issue. There are minor ones, and some are head-scratching (as others have mentioned); however, this area is so critical, and that's just really poorly sanded or painted. It's a clear error that should've been caught. They can't say that every statue in their inventory looks like that one, that's for sure.

I totally agree that some don't need replacements; though this one definitely falls in the distracting area category that should be covered. She looks like she had open-heart surgery or something.

Can't tell people what to expect from their purchase, that's like asking them to change their perspectives about anything, there is no set standard for everybody, weather somebody is way too picky or not its a matter of opinion so your point is as valid as the people's you criticize, I'm not picking sides here I'm just trying to promote the idea that whatever people find as an unacceptable flaw that requires the use of any kind of the warranty that SSC offers with all it's product it's just fine and no reason is more justified then other it's nothing more then a comparison between standards of different people that in the end it's not really important, being more tolerant of what people choose to accept or not is the key for everyone to understand and get along with eachother.

That being said I'm not totally satisfied with the paint job I recieved and I'll be looking into a proffesional paint on my own and not try to have SS replace mine, not in the benefit of SS but because I understand that what I want out of this piece they won't provide but the piece that I got its more then acceptable but it's not what I want it to be exactly

I think your missing the point. Of course everyone has the right to complain about whatever they want. The fact of the matter is that some things are so minor that it's unrealistic to expect SS to replace an entire pieces for some of the trivial things people complain about.

That's my thoughts anyway.

Just to throw in a report on mine as well for the statistics: Got my regular earlier this week. It's in pretty good condition. Eyes are (to me, at least) more or less perfect. Paint on the leaves and vines are okay and totally acceptable compared to some others. She does have a few paint flaws in her hair though, there's some tiny white, unpainted spots a few places. Barely noticable, only if you really look close and with good lighting, but you see it if you know it's there and look for it. Not a big case for me. I LOVE the statue so would never return it and I'm able to live with the mentioned paint flaws in her hair. All in all, great piece. A little worrying with all the flaws on this one though, but it's a hard statue to get perfect and we can't expect absolute perfectness on every statue in this price segment. Really hope it gets worked out for all of you with major flaws, though.

Sold out there too Liju :(

If anybody wants to sell their Reg., please send me a PM. Had her on PO from CSC but they cannot ship to me due to shipping restrictions.

Midtown comics have few they sell online too. 350.00 plus shipping. I saw it in person the eyes were perfect and no issues. Check out thier website. :)

I'm sure wait lists will convert for a while longer, the true sell out will be when the climb on the aftermarket price is steady and you see collectors in street corners offering oral favors for a poison ivy.
