The line bothers you? Lol if I owned Sideshow I would call bull____ on 80% of these refund/replacement requests. Most of them are nonsense.

:exactly: It seems like most people check their statues with a magnifying glass and then completely freak out when they find the tiniest imperfection.

I doubt sideshow will replace most of the statues that people are complaining about

And they really shouldn't. It's a waste of their time and money. There are actual legit QC issues out there like the Psylocke ones, but then some people here feel so entitled to perfection that even a slight miscolored dot on her left thigh would give them enough reason to try to send her back.

People shouldn't expect perfection. They should expect $350 worth of perfection, which isn't perfect. It should be good clean paint applications, but slight flaws in a few select areas are to be expected. There are legit issues here and there like that weird running paint coming out of her nose, but some issues are insane and you wouldn't even notice them unless you looked for them.

If people expect not even a single mistake, then this isn't the hobby for them they should just hire people to make $1000 customs or make their own statues or something. The worst is the rose tinted glasses guys who go "Sideshow of the past would never let this threw my other pieces are perfect!" Yeah that's nice. Sometimes it turns out that way sometimes it doesn't.

I'm sure my Ganondorf has a speck somewhere that shouldn't be there, but I don't care. I haven't taken a magnifying glass to him. I rotated him and enjoyed the details and he's awesome. That's perfect enough for me. I mean seriously some people here post x100 zoomed in pictures of her at certain angles just to try to convince people that there might be an issue. My goodness.

I sent a customer service email to Sideshow last Friday and I've still to hear back from them. I wonder if there's a wait list or if they're just ignoring me/people's messages *shrugs*

The e-mail I received after submitting my request is misleading then. It reads quote:

Yes, you are correct and apologies as I mixed up credits and refunds in my initial response (I am very sorry...so sorry). Yes, it is the case if one does accept a partial refund reward points earned will be based on the total amount paid for the piece in the end. Should one accept a credit then reward points should not be affected. Again, I am very sorry for my incorrect answer from earlier and for the mix up. Thank you so much for posting the actual email sent to clear things up.

Yeah it does get a bit out of hand sometimes, people convince themselfs that there's something wrong with their statue. I admit even I nitpicked when I got my ivy, but in the end I'm just happy to have her with nothing majorly wrong with her.

People can't expect absolute perfection from mass produced statues like this, if it was a custom paint job I paid for then I would be annoyed with sloppy paint or whatever. But these are statues which are painted amongst thousands of other ones, they won't all come out looking like the prototype

:lecture In this case no Ivy looks like the prototype.

The prototype appears flawless and the "one to have". As was the case with Rogue.

I wonder what happened to them...

my poison looks to the proto, isnt the same but im very happy with the face,if you want more pics of da face just ask

Most of the production Ivy pieces have certainly impressed me. I think for the most part SS did a good job on this one which is a breath of fresh air!

Still don't know why the change from the proto. She has such an awesome look on that, and I can even see her raising her eyebrow in it whilst the version that has been sent out to people she has this vacant look about her.

No drastic change seems apparent to me. It's just prototype vs production. Prototype will always win because it's sculpted not molded and painted by their best artist and not an assembly worker.

The prototype is the piece that will be used to advertise and sell the rest of the pieces. :lecture It has to look good. It has to be perfect!

The prototype is why you bought your Ivy.

Well most pics I see was for real issues that can be seen, or noticeable and not something so small that it can't be seen. Does not have to be perfect but it should not be chip, cracked, or broken. Those are consider damage things. So how about lazy eyes or cracks and broken parts people posted? No one mention those?

This :goodpost::exactly:

As I said before about one person's nitpicks... entitled and whiny. $350 doesn't entitle you to perfection. You want it to look like the Prototype, pay a professional painter. It will cost you more than the PF did. You can't expect something out of a factory to look like the prototypes.

It is abusing the claims and returns from SSC which I consider to be quite generous. It's no wonder why SSC only offered $20 refunds on some pieces... people abused their system. That royally sucks for those with legitimate issues.
