I live in Canada and had to have this figure, I didn't realize there was a shipping restriction until I went to complete the order. Luckily I live just north of the border, there's a convenient store on the US side that let's you have items sent there for a $3.00 fee. The cheaper US shipping pays for the gas. I'm disappointed sideshow didn't look after there Canadian and international customers on this one, our money spends the same as far as I know.
Their hands are tied, as it's HT policy to protect its other distributors.

went out to dinner and got home to a sell out. YOU KIDDING ME SIDESHOW???????? putting it up on a friday night without any notice is a pretty low way to give 'everyone a fair chance' at getting one. once again sideshow FAILS!!!!! this is basically why i only buy from sideshow direct for an exclusive version figure. i just canceled most of my orders except two exclusives that i really want. i will settle for the regular version of the cancellations if i buy them at a later date.

Oh man, I feel for you buddy.
I was on my way out of the office to a dinner when my cell beeped and I got the e-mail for the preorder (preorder started about 6pm EST). I showed up late to the dinner because I went back to my computer to complete my order.
Funny. As soon as the preorder goes up, almost 500 posts were added into this thread in the span of about 5 hours.

Wow, I just happened to check my e-mail from my cell phone today around 5pm and saw the pre-order, clicked on it. was just going to wait until i got home to decide if i wanted to order. then just decided to order. got home and found out how eclusive this really was. glad i made that decision

you would have had to be at your computer and receive the email before anyone else. WTF??? i guess a PPO was too fair so everyone that wanted one could have that fair shot. THIS is one of the reasons sideshow has taken a huge dump over the past few years. absolutely a slap in the collector's face.

Exactly. Someone call ss a few page ago regarding this po n the cs said she doesn't know. I know ss has their rules snd regulation and not to tell. But I think they should do better on their part. It is just **** up on their part.

i had the chance to purchase this today. I stared and stared and stared and compared this to the regular Mark VII release and the Mark XLII - neither of which i had intended on buying initially...In the end this release convinced me to get the Mark VII EX on waitlist and PO XLII instead haha. The price is insane to me on this given what you're getting I don't care how limited it maybe or how much it might go in the after market.
It's a slap in the face but it's not made with their hand.

no words to describe the feeling of betrayal by sideshow. earlier in the week, a ss customer service told me and i quote...'everyone signed up for newsletter alerts will get a notification when more information is available so all will have an equal chance.' sending an email saying BUY NOW!!! is an equal chance? especially at a time where a good amount of people on the east coast will either be on their way home from work or leaving to go out for the night. people in california had a nice 2-3pm order time. got to wonder why a PPO wasn't done here.

I live in Canada as well as was pretty disappointed we were restricted on this purchase by Sideshow especially since I was ordering at 6PM EST - my only hope is someone like Toys2 in Toronto get some as they do direct business with Hot Toys I believe.

Every time in the past few months that I've read anything about SSC on this board it's always been about how bad their CS has become. I'm sick to the gills of Iron Man myself, but this piece is pretty sweet and I was interested in picking it up if the opportunity presented itself. Looks like that opportunity wasn't much of an opportunity to begin with.
