The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb continues to post behind-the-scenes images and teasers for the upcoming film via his Twitter account and it has been some time since we got one that was as interesting as today's image. Captioned with "Day 38. A supposed rumor about a Dunder-Mifflin takeover of Oscorp?", Webb has officially confirmed that "The Office" star B.J. Novak has joined the sequel. Webb didn't specify which role Novak has taken on for the film, but one can suspect that it is a character that works for Norman Osborn. Any theories?
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Also starring Shailene Woodley, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field and Chris Cooper, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

Eh its only a rumor at this point, and it doesn't mention Electro is going to kill her or it will happen early on so I don't know where people are getting all this about it. Since Emma has been shooting this whole time as opposed the girl playing M.J. who was done in a week I doubt it. But I'd be the first person upset if it wasn't Norman who did it, he's Spidey's arch and its in large part because of that.

Judging by the pic to go with that tweet about Novak and his late addition, my guess is he's playing Norman Osborn in a flashback with Peter's parents. His glasses etc look similar to the way his father dressed.

As long as this movie has solid action and a compelling story it won't fail. The main problem with this first one was it told something we already knew. This is a completely different story. Can't wait.

In true Peter Parker style, Marc Webb managed to take photographs of himself in action today on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, seemingly demonstrating an action sequence for producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach.

Not sure how to post the pic without hotlinking (shy of uploading to photobucket, etc.) Not sure what the 'rules' are on that. Point taken though. I was thinking that the other day, but no one had mentioned anything yet.

Having the pattern scarred into his face would be pretty cool.

I think this is how they're going to have Electro's signature head lightning bolts. With the "accident" that turns Dillon into Electro, the voltage that ran through his body will essentially "scar" the lightning bolts into his forehead. Not so obvious of that design but enough that you can tell what they were going for. Or maybe some helmet he's wearing during the accident imprints the design on his forehead.

Either that or he gets a wicked tattoo or something. I can see the character wearing his signature green and yellow in some of the outfits we'll see him wear, but other than that, he won't be in any classic costume. Which I don't mind. Electro's costume was one of the few in Spidey history that was always goofy and dated. I was glad to see his updated look in Ultimate Spider-man.
