What a breath of fresh air this thread has turned into. It's amazing what a product going up for preorder (10) and an impending release (Amy) can do for peoples attitudes toward a company.

What happened to all the planned expansion packs, though?

I can't wait for the expansion packs. I don't care how much the green coat and Stetson pack costs; it's a must-buy for me. I'm not sure about the fez one yet, but if it's affordable, I'll get it. I hope we also get the Doctor's The Snowmen outfit. That was very nice.

The Doctor and Dalek combo that I suggested has two advantages - first, the market research is already done (by TRU and CO!) - they obviously think its a good idea at mass market level. And secondly, it will bring in buyers who just want the dalek - some people only collect daleks and buying the first ever true 1/6 scale dalek would undoubtedly appeal - and who might sell on the Doctor, or might get drawn into the line and buy more.

I'll tell you what else I was thinking - if they do more Tom Baker figures, I hope at least one of them will have a voice chip. More than any other Doctor, Tom's voice was an integral part of his portrayal (look at all the voice over work he's had!). And if anyone would be up for recording some of his most famous phrases it would be Tom Baker.

And if BC can put out a Tom Baker figure that says 'Tom's putting it in' they can name their price as far as I'm concerned!

Big Chief is just a small company. I don't think they have the capability to produce a figure with voice chips. Heck, I don't even think they could pull off a talking Dalek with lights and the extra production costs will undoubtedly be added into the cost of the figure making it even more expensive. And it would cause even more production delays. It's hard enough for them just to get 2 figures put out, let alone the ambitions for all of these additional characters. As long as they can nail the sculpt and production paint apps on a convincing Tom Baker likeness, that's the most important aspect to me.

I hope we get nice outfit expansion packs. I'm particularly torn on what to do with my Ten, since I'd love to use his outfit to recreate Eleven's "raggedy doctor" look, but.... I kinda don't want to display Ten in the nude. ROFL.

I thought the ganger doctor expansion head was interesting. I personally loved the ganger doctor.

I'm still wondering if we'll see the weeping angel figure. I hope so. If the price was right it would be a nice addition to the old CO 12" range.

I got a little dissapointed when I found th Angel was not an action figure.
The fez Doctor XP, I will use on the existing 11. Then, build a raggedy 11 with the original head, new TT body, and the CO 10 suit.

I was actually happy that it was not an action figure. There are only a handful of poses for an Angel, and if they can all be accomplished with swapping parts, I would prefer that to seeing open joints.

Yeah, at first I was disappointed but the swap out parts makes a lot of sense. Very few things could really have even moved on the angel anyway.

I agree completely, and I know a lot of people don't like voice chips anyway. I have a secret love of talking figures and HT figures with PERS simply because they remind me of my old Palitoy Action Men with their drawstring talking features and 'eagle eyes'!!! It's another reason why I love the idea of accessory packs.

However, I have to say I'm not crazy about any of the accessory packs - not because they don't look good, I'm just not bothered about having a Stetson Doctor or a green coat doctor. The most iconic of the packs, the fez doctor, is the only one I'd be interested in but actually ont hat one I'm not keen on the sculpt we saw - perhaps the production version will appeal to me more.

It's actually quite a relief not to want something that Big Chief are making, it gives my wallet a rest.

Btw does anyone else think they might sell more of Amy if they did a Strippogram/ policewoman outfit as an accessory pack? It's Amy's most 'iconic' look and would really appeal to me.

A policewoman outfit accessory would certainly push sales.

It's hard to believe that after all these months, they can't even get 250 preorders for a signed edition.

I wish BCS was at Toy Fair, I want to see Amy. I think a Pirate Amy expansion pack would sell very well.

That's a great idea, although not as iconic as the policewoman's outfit. I bet when Amy comes out people dress her up in the coat and hat from the Jack Sparrow DX.
