When I didn't feel like actually reinstalling the game I looked at playthroughs on YT but it's an awful game for this.

First I had trouble finding a class/character combo I liked and then I kept saying to myself "no don't choose that!" "ugh I would have picked the dark answer" and so on. Very frustrating :)

Do other players decisions affect your lightside /darkside alignment, or do they just determine the dialogue played in the cutscene? There is no reason why other's decisions should affect your alignment.

No, you don't get enough XP from your story quests to be able to level quickly enough. You have to do the regular quests.

Doing the heroic quests to level up is definitely faster than soloing, but then, team play always is. You can level up soloing, but it's just 3 times as slow or so. By the way, I still die with decent equipment fighting characters 4 levels below me at level 50, on Voss. Some of this game is so difficult you have to team.

Only your own decisions affect your alignment, the dice roll only affect dialogue conversations.

Yup... was gonna play yesterday since it had gone F2P... kinda loosing interest in even that with how long the maintenance is taking. Sokay, Still has my wow dailies to do.

You can now login but I'm confused by cartel points...

I'm supposed to have 1450 (collector's edition, months of sub) but I only have 100.

Months of sub? So if you've had an active subscription for a few months you're automatically entitled to cartel coins? Or did it have to be active during the F2P transition?

I have no coins but I haven't had an active subscription since May.

It's sad...I logged on, looked and clicked around at some new stuff then got bored and logged off. :lol :(

Apparently you have to have an active sub to get the coins in your Ledger.... which defeats the whole point of Cartel Points for me anyway!

And **** this game, I tried playing but they only give us 2 quickbars which isn't even enough to put all your fighting skills in :slap:slap

I redownloaded the game after not playing it for months. I was only given 100 coins so I think you needed an active sub to get any more than that.

After playing for 30 minutes I remembered that I quit playing because I just really wasn't interested. Lots has changed but I'm not sure if I'll stick around. It was nice that my skill points had been reset. I think I'm better off now than I was before.

Until they give me more than 2 bars I'm not touching this game.

I logged in to find I had over 3000 Cartel Coins and I got some pretty cool stuff when I spent them. I got an email this morning saying they sent me 500 more. They just keep giving them to me! LOL

2 quickbars.
Email saying i had 1750 Cartel coins, but 0 coins when i logged into the game. Are they in my mail or something?
got 5 characters, can't make any more, as I'm only allowed 2....

They aren't in the mail. There should be a yellow circle on the top of the screen when you log into a character. When you click it it brings up the Cartel Coin screen. It should tell you how many you have there.

yup, checked there. i have 0.
Email said i should have 1750.

I think... i'm uninstalling today. They even managed to screw up F2P. I'm quite impressed.

That's because you need an active sub to unlock those cartel points... :slap
Which defeats the whole points of the points in my book.

So yeah like you said 2 character slots, much slower XP, no CP..... but mostly 2 quickbars and **** them
Especially when I spent $150 on a collector's edition.

They really needed to do 3 tiers. 1 for free folk, 1 for people who bought the software, 1 for current subscribers.

They kind of did it that way but it should have been a bit more of a spread.

Wait... you Need an active sub to get CP?

Ok, yeah, way to fail EA.

It's official. they've killed it.

Additionally, a friend of mine who has been playing, active sub SINCE launch just canceled.

the reason?
you can get Collectors edition status with CP now too Apparently.

so this is how Bioware star wars dies. With a whimper.

Since lucasfilm owns lucasarts,
and lucasfilm is owned by disney

Perhaps next time they'll approach blizzard.
That'd be something to see I think.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED bioware, ut I think they've been on the decline for a while now. this debacle has more or less killed all my remaining faith in them.

Perhaps dragon age 3 can restore it.

I don't think you need an active subscription as some of the perks you can use cartel coins to buy are for non subscriber things like space combat and flashpoints and stuff that subscribers have access to free.
