:goodpost:

this post keeps me positive. I've never been so depressed waiting for a piece. All these pics and youtube videos has really made me regret ordering it and I ***n love pred :(
I'm hoping there's only small paint app issues, those I can live with since i'm not fanatic with minor (very minor) details - I just can't accept a broken figure (since I'm a tool in fixing delicate stuff).
As long as it is ok painted i can live with a farker helmet etc. - As long as it is done right..... really crossing my fingers here:pray:

Some of my most favorite, most flawless SS pieces are the simplest ones. They have no small complicated parts so they always look better, as there's less that can go wrong. Even my $800 Aliens maquette had tons of issues and it took my dealer 2 swaps to get me something with no major issues. Lets face it, the more detailed and complicated, the more likely there will be issues.

I let it sit overnight and looked it over again today and I'm happy with it. It looks very nice on display.

I sure had a lot of problems putting this guy together.
His right arm just wouldn't go in all the way. I had to use so much force to finally get it in enough, I actually broke the tube thing off while trying and I never break statues while trying to put them together.

He keeps popping up on the base like his legs aren't a match for the base.

His left arm was difficult to get in all the way.

I also had some trouble getting his EX head on. I haven't tried the reg head yet.

So strange. I've never had problems like this with a SS statue before.

I do like the look of him though.

Having looked at the pred cm for years i really really want a great statue of this iconic beast. Pred is one of those milestone movies (imo) and having a statue makes me happy and the way you describe him makes me feel alot better. Now if only that damn fedex dude will show up! :impatient:

Too bad they didn't make a statue of a brick, huh..?

i got mine today, im not so picky like others about paint and accuracy and i actually liked the pose and statue, though the paint is a bit dull
BUT mine came damaged :X
the fingers of 2 of the hands had broken off and the skull attached to one hand too had come off

As if this piece is cursed....

I saw it at my friends house and his legs are way too skinny and there's a lot to be desired when it comes to the paint job....

Having said that, it is a good looking statue but when you compare to the accuracy of Neca 1/4 Predator that costs $100 bucks, one starts to doubt if it is worth keeping a $300 statue....

With Dutch out there, we start to wonder why isn't Sideshow releasing a 1/4 scale Predator....they release a 1/2 scale bust, a 1/5 statue, life size Berserker Predator bust, a 1/3 scale Wolf Predator but no 1/4 Predator PF or Maquette?????

We are ALL waiting for one... there is a HUGE market out there for it.....SS has the license so why not?????

I don't get it.....

Bear :(

Well they did release a Maquette a few years ago, but the pics i have seen with it side by side with Dutch shows its way too big its not true 1/4 scale. I agree we need a damn p1 PF in proper scale with the Dutch PF a good companion piece.

I dunno... I know this statue is far from perfect, but I actually like it and will most likely touch it up later on to make it a bit more pleasing to my eye. Maybe lighten up the armor, add some spots, touch up the netting perhaps. But I'm actually okay with it it and I guess I'm also one of the lucky ones since mine didn't have any damage or other QC problems. In my unboxing video, I missed the skull trophies, so I thought I'd take my Pred out again to take some pics with the trophies on. I also took some comparison pics with my 1/4 scale Neca Pred and my 1/6 scale Hot Toys Pred.

I just noticed my Pred's lower right mandible (left if you're looking at it head on) has a line down it from the casting. Is anyone else's like this? You can see it in this pic:

Nice one Emarae, those are the sort of pics I've been waiting for!

Honestly it looks pretty much like the pics on the Sideshow website in those pics, the armour could be done nicer but its not exactly far off is it?!

It seems like it was another case of people panicking off one set of pics again.

Nice pics and video Emarae..:clap If mine comes looking anything like yours I'll be keeping it, fingers crossed it has no QC issues..
I also agree with others that he is a little on the skinny side but I love the pose and over all think it's a very cool looking statue.
Mine will be here on Thursday..:yess:

Nice photos Emarae, looks nice with all the other preds next to him. Cant wait for mine, hopefully no major QC issues.

Yeah, I was surprised to hear so much negativity towards this piece. Of course I wish the paint job was cleaner and closer to the prototype statue pics we're comparing it to, but I don't think it's that bad really. I didn't touch up the pics at all and took them during the mid afternoon in my backyard, so hopefully aside from QC issues, everyone getting theirs will get something similar to what I got. I say give it a chance and see it in hand before deciding to cancel unless you're really just not liking anything about it that you're seeing in everyone's pics so far.
