I just made a pre-order for this guy...I hope its good. BECAUSE ITS FREAKING EXPENSIVE! >W<

As for the fading panties, I believe they have corrected this issue, because the MARK V does not have this issue. From the looks of the new pictures of the MARK VII, it looks like they have used a harder material just like the one in the MARK V. Lets hope guys. In another side note, the gold I sincerely is the gold color in the promo picture, because that gold in the SGCC looks saturated and UGLY!

I don't see how it'd chip paint, it's not like i'm gonna be putting him in poses or handing him a lot. My Hot Toys figs are justo n my shelf on display and they look glorious! That's all I do with them really haha. I love the characters to death and look at them all the time :) It also catches the eyes of everyone who walks into the room. I currently have an empty shelf for The Avengers :3

Now the SSC site says there are less than 70 pre-orders remaining.

For those of you wondering, I ordered mine at SSC as well. However, if given another chance, even at the cost of the premium, I'd STILL order from SSC for the Iron Man line, because they seem to be well known for QC issues. For other stuff like Batman, and Terminator, I order from another source, where I can save at least 30-50 bucks per order. BTW SSC not allowing customers to gain 5% cash back when you use a coupon is FULL OF _ _ _ _ !!!!!!! :monkey4

I have been collecting diecast cars for years and had to stop recently because of a very serious paint problem.

Chinese companies are not using pure zamac and the impurities are causing the metal underneath the paint to outgas and create micro bubbles that feel like sandpaper to the touch. I have had this happen to cheap Maisto models and the very expensive Autoart models so price makes no difference.

In extreme cases these batches of diecast metal are so badly contaminated that it creates a case of zinc pest where the metal begins to disintegrate. It might last five years or more on the shelf before you'd notice. This happened to one of my cars in fact.

That is why I switched from buying diecast cars to resin ones. No metal!

I've had issues with dicast rusting as well. The quality of metal used in toy die-casting is generally of the lowest qualities. I personally don't get the appeal. Less detail, stuff with articulation tends to get loose joints much faster, paint chipping, rusting, etc.

Earthquake, clumsy cleaning woman, dumb-ass friends, pets, thieves, elves, magic, George Lucas... all can cause shelf dives.

All I ever get around here is Earthquakes and a drunk George Lucas trying to catch magic elves (now I hide the alcohol when he comes over).

I was doing that for awhile but for figures with free shipping from SS it usually costs me less than other places. I can order from another dealer and save $20 or $30 but it usually costs me $26 to $32 in shipping. So for now i am ordering most stuff from SS.

I collect code 3 vehicles and have not had that problem yet. Most of them are between 5 and 10 years old. I hope that does not happen, they are some great looking vehicles.

OH damn i'm never thought about rust before =/ That'd suck if the Iron Man started doing that.

Preordered two Sideshow Exclusives of this. It will be sold out in a few days, pretty sure that for Q1 2013 it will worth enough to be traded with something I miss, like the VI Ex or III BD Ex :)

Correct me if I am wrong, but the VI Ex isnt really worth anything right? I see it on ebay which could be had for around 200. I myself have one with a loose leg that I am trying to sell on amazon for 250 lol. but the mark III ex is something else.

I've always seen the Mark VI between 350 and 450 $. Being in Europe, here it costs even more.
I like both the design of the VI and the III, but I'll think that a 2.0 of the Mark III will come out quite soon, so I'd prefer going for the VI.

finally got the Blu-Ray here in the UK and i'm looking forward to the figures even more now, IM, Loki and Hulk were amazing in the film and all 3 of their figures are top notch imo, gonna be awesome when i have the full team assembled :) just need a p/o for Coulson now

They need to make more of these. It was pretty ridiculous when the Mark VI sold out at the preorder level.

Strange that the Ex is near to sell out, considering that the extra piece is quite... useless. And poor in quality, if it's the same kind of the Mark I's holo piece.

I bought two Ex 'cause I had a lucky find in a shop who sold them for less than the Reg ones, but otherwise I would've bought Reg without thinking twice.
