the Hills have eyes remake is pretty gory and bloody, more than the original

I actually really like the remake it's one of the few that is IMO as good as the original.
Plus I like how they flesh out the desert dwellers a bit more & give you some more back story around them.

I actually like the remake more, but it is very gory, and brutal, I thin the family in the remake suffers a lot more than the original, very good remake yeah

I saw a part of a horror film 20yrs ago (dunno the movie), but lets just say a guys head got stuck in an elevator door and then the elevator started to move nuff said

Yeah I prefer the remake but I still love the original (have yet to watch pt 2 though)
Oh yep they definitely suffer much more...the dad on the Cross still sticks in my mind.

There are actually a few horror remakes that IMO are easily as good as the original...

Dawn of the Dead
Death Race
Halloween
Last House on the Left

Oooh speaking of Last House on the left there are a couple of 70's & 80's shockers that still leave haunting impressions on me...

House on the Edge of the Park
Last House on Dead End Street
Fight for your Life
Zombie Flesh Eaters (The Eyeball nuff said)
Street Trash (melting down a toilet anyone??)
Maniac (Gunshot to the head & his demise)

Something I've never understood is how people find the Cannibal films so appalling...sure the animal cruelty is pretty nasty but aside from that they don't do much really, bit gruesome but nothing that I haven't seen before.
My fave 2 though are definitely Holocaust & Ferox they are just better than the rest

Ichi the Killer for me.

The opening scene is sick enough since it is actually real sperm.

The tongue cutting is crazy too.

Dead or Alive is also sick. A girl bathing in a pool of her own ____!!!

I think you guys probably did not watch much of Takashi Mike stuff cause if you do, this topic will be flooded with his movies cause that dude is seriously messed up.
seen quite a lot of gore movies but i actually felt Dissy at the tongue cutting scene , had to stop and lie down and resume watching the movie 2 days later:(

NOROI the curse 2005 is one movie that made me turn my head away from the screen for few seconds... some scenes are very disturbing..

i will rate martys as one of the best horror films i have seen, agreed it gore, but its like a new genre of realistic horror

has anyone seen Antichrist, what was the pont in making that film, i never understood anything in that movie

The Last house on the left (new version):

The rape scene in that movie is extremely disturbing and goes on for way too long. I kept waiting for it to be over.

Irreversible: I think everyone has just about covered that one.

The Collector: That entire movie disturbed me. I saw it because a friend told me it was about two thieves playing a game of cat and mouse against each other. Not even close. I cringed during that entire movie.

Meh I quite enjoyed it (went to the cinema twice to see it & have it on about 3 different versions at home)
Thought it was different enough to not be classed as a remake & entertaining.
I love the original it's in my top 5 movies of all time & nothing will better it ever but I do feel the 2004 version is one of the best Zombie movies of recent times

We were talking about this at dinner and my friend said he saw a movie about some kids who decided to rape a corpse, but then the corpse ends up being a zombie type and they keep it as a sex slave? Anyways he said he didn't watch the whole thing and couldn't remember the name of it, but said it was pretty far up there on the nastiness, this movie ring a bell with anyone?

Sounds like Deadgirl.

This is actually a very comprehensive list. The vast majority of films referred to in this thread are reviewed. And he shows clips from all of them to give you an idea of the contents.

Great find Monger, i'm not familiar with any but two films on these lists.

They all look pretty ____ed up. Looks like Human Centipied 2, guinie pig and serbian film and Man in The Sun as well as the underground "real" looking ones are the worst.

The reviewer has such a great accent.

I don't care for any rape scene. I'd rather they just imply it and leave it at that.

Humanoids from the Deep have the "humanoids" raping women and one ends up pregnant and she gives birth. :monkey4

You mean like Splice? After the first sex scene, that movie went downhill real quick.

the Hills have eyes remake is pretty gory and bloody, more than the original

and both of them have rape scenes in them, just not as bad as some of the other films mentioned here. I don't like the director of those 2 films, he obviously has a thing for putting rape scenes in his movies.

Cabin fever has a few I've found disturbing, the leg shaving scene is one that sticks inmy mind, but there are a few others.

I hate that movie, it had some nasty ass scenes in that one. I will never watch that one again.

The Collector: That entire movie disturbed me. I saw it because a friend told me it was about two thieves playing a game of cat and mouse against each other. Not even close. I cringed during that entire movie.

Yea, I thought that movie was gonna be a lot different when I saw it. If I knew there was gonna be so much torture, I wouldn't have even bothered. What fun is there in a movie when the killer is like some combat specialist or whatever he was?

I love cabin fever! Its the best thing Eli Roth has ever done! Good humor, well handled effects and a good story. (Imo of course)
