Why?

No, you can't guarantee that.

gagaliya can guarantee you do. Even if you don't know.

gagaliya can guarantee they wouldn't.

it's a figure of speech...

now go jump off a bridge, you can take that as a literal.

Don't blame me for not knowing how to properly use figures of speech. Especially when discussing something that comes down to a matter of taste. Especially when given examples of what's universally considered an excellent use of matte and shiny (since I've never read anyone say anything against that on the Bucky piece). And especially since your only 'argument' for a pic of a before-and-after is that it's 'meaningless'.

Nah, seems to me that it's not just a figure of speech, but rather that you're too prone to speak in absolutes. And that you get aggressive when you're contradicted, too.

1) i did not say anything regarding the bucky pf
2) a photo some guy touched up in photoshop with a bit black is meaningless as proof it looks better/worse
3) your bridge is waiting.

Exactly. You ignored an argument in a discussion. Probably because it wasn't in your interest of self-proclaimed taste guru.

2) a photo some guy touched up in photoshop with a bit black is meaningless as proof it looks better/worse

Again, why? You're getting tautological there. It does look a lot better to me. That's all I need to know.

3) your bridge is calling.

Now that's a good argument. I take my hat off.

ignore what exactly? it's 2 different statues with different armor styles, just because they both had glossy paint?

and i dont think bucky armor looks good at all, (market agrees with a 30%+ haircut on the price currently).

because IT IS A PHOTOSHOP.

This is a waste of time, nothing will change.

Yeah, 'just because' of that. Completely unrelated, I know. Silly me. :dunno

I guess the fact that it's not a proper Cap America but a brief character, and some other questionable aspects (unsuccessful Ex head, a pose that doesn't allow the shield to be seen in when normally displayed...) didn't have anything to do with it either. No, you're right - the market has spoken and thinks exactly the opposite of what everyone said here back in the day: hideous matte cloth, ewww.

This is a waste of time, nothing will change.
That, we agree on, for the different reasons, though.

Yup. Lights are not worth the trade-off for not making him in the same style as Batman and Superman.

I like that it's Hal Jordan Green Lantern, but apart from that. . .I'm kinda with you, devil.

I was going to make that exception, but the fact that it's him makes it worse.

Honestly, I think this statue will require more than a couple of minor tweaks in order for me to want to pick it up. Head looks big/weird to me, abs look odd, the shinyness is not great, not the biggest fan of the pose in general, disappointing he doesn't have cloth like Bats/Supes, and I personally think the light-up gimmick cheapens the thing.

Actually looks like a pretty good representation of the modern, pre-52 Jordan as Evilface says, but I would much prefer something like this:

100% Agreed.

This statue does look a little odd. I'm not sure I am a fan of the shiny finish, or the green fist, but honestly I probably wouldn't be buying this one anyway. The back muscles are a bit ridiculous as well ha

but you cant have a justice league without green lantern...[/QUOTE]

Then buy the DCD 1/4 scale Green Lantern. He has cloth costume.

The more photo's I see of this the more I am actually liking it. When I think about how I would display him I think he would look pretty good. I thought that GL's suit was supposed to be energy so it should glow, its not a cloth costume so why make it cloth. Unless I am wrong about the suit being energy, I am new to the character.

I am not sure how I feel about all these large bases on the DC line so far, not sure how it would make them easy to display together or fit in my current Besta with Marvel PF's but if this was on order tomorrow I would PO it in a heart beat.
