I can't believe all this talk about the shooter being a Nolan fan just because it happened during a showing of TDKR. That is supper narrow thinking right there. What if it happens during a showing of ASM? Then he is a Mark Webb fan?

People are dead because of one psycho and all we can do is point fingers at fans of the movie instead of the shooter. The problem here is not the fans but the shooter. Get that straight.

The only motivation he need that day is seeing blood. Got nothing to do with it being TDKR or not.

:goodpost::exactly: A terrible isolated incident featuring some glory hunter lunatic shouldn't mean that it ruins the movie for people waiting to see it around the world.

^ He threatened people who hated the movie. Not random people.
I'm watching the news now. EYEWITNESS REPORTS. It's coming in like crazy.

He planned it. He came in with tear gas, and shot up the theater man.

Simple as that. And because of that, this movie is ruined. And now ____ is going to be changed.

Yeah, totally different, death threats on the internet can't be compared to people gunning down and killing 12 random people and wounding 50 more in a movie theatre.

3 weapons, tear gas and kevlar for gunning down people in civilian setting?

Well, it did. And now this movie is ruined for me. And the thought that this guy could've been at my theater.

Watching it on BBC news right now. It does seem to be connected to the movie itself. They say he was wearing all black, with googles and a riot mask of some kind, a bullet vest and he walked into the middle of the screen. Honestly, kevlar, black outfit, mask/goggles, tear gas at a Batman midnight showing? That doesn't sound too random IMO.

Sounds like a Bat freak - nut job, of some kind. Especially after all the internet death threats and BS last week.
Awful, awful to see this type of ____ happen. It's even scarier because it's so random. Lets hope there are no copy cat incidents.
Considering the subject matter of these movies, it's a real concern. I would imagine the police think so too.

Sounds more like a Call of Duty fan to me.

Parents who want to see the film, and can't get a baby sitter at night.

It's not a new thing.

It's irresponsible. Trust me. You don't get a sitter you don't go to the movies. There are a lot of things you give up when you have a child. Its called being a parent.

But again they still have the right to make a dumb decision and be safe.

This so sad I just got out of the movie an hour ago and to hear this is just really sucks. I really feel for the victims families.

:(:(:(

I promised my little brother who could not come tonight that i would take him on Sunday. We will still go but I will be watching everyone who walks in the door a little bit more.

This could happen anyplace, movie, mall, restaurant, school, etc. So i will not hide at home.

Gotta tell ya ... black clothes, face mask, and body armor is pretty standard attire for terrorists, lone gunmen, dudes who knock over convenience stores, etc. That won't convince me that this is some crazed Batman fan, Bane devotee, or anti-Batman guy, or whatever.

Because. It was so close to me. And the idea, the very thought that someone did this that close, and could've done that at my theater....it makes me shudder.

The film is still good. I guess it doesn't ruin it. But it just gives me this horrible weird feeling,

I can't imagine what the people who were in the theater, or in a adjustment theater,

I'm a bit surprised to be honest that in a movie theater full of hundreds that no one tried to tackle the guy. I can understand why, but still a bit surprised.

Yeah, but why do that at a midnight Batman screening, why not pop into Magic Mike? It seems to have been a specific choice, not random. BBC are saying it was related to TDKR, they are not normally ones for tabloid BS.
:dunno

It was a big movie. It was the perfect place to find a bunch of people in the theater to kill.
