They just said the youngest victim is 3 months old. Who the ____ takes a 3 month old to a theater at midnight? :slap

This is horrible. I don't even want to see this movie anymore. :monkey2

Celtic, did this really happen that close by?

I thought you lived in Arizona, back on the Spawn boards, but either way I guess you were one of the lucky ones.

Still disgusted at this.

I read about the riot shield earlier, but now apparently he had on a kevlar vest as well? What? Were there Nazis or Al Qaeda awaiting him or something? I could understand walking into a bank with such gear, or even an airport... but a theater? What the ____? This guy is either a moron, a coward, or paranoid beyond reason... or maybe all three. At any rate, this idiot, and others like him, make me want to get a concealed carry permit.

^ Nah, I live in Colorado man.

It was pretty close. I mean, not right in my back yard, but within driving distance. 30 or so minutes away.

It's bothering me.

I don't. They need to torture ____bags like this. Man, here I am getting dressed, heading into work, and see this when I fire up CNN to see what's going on with the news. WTF??
I don't know how I would feel about torture. Either way, he needs to be thrown on death row asap.

And I agree. This has definitely ruined my excitment to see this film. I'm not sure I'll see it this weekend now, much less today. I know he was wearing a kevlar vest and all, but if only someone in that theater had a gun, and knew how to use it, maybe the children might have been saved. :(

Yeah, I'm not seeing this flick in IMAX tomorrow. No thanks. I'll see it in 4 weeks. I have no need to risk my ____ing life over this movie.

Which I enjoyed. I guess I should talk about the flick for a second.

Bane was lame, and I loved the ending,

There's only two theaters here, both about 20 minutes or so away. Something happening in either one would pretty much be my backyard here.

honestly the best movie i've ever seen in my life. i dont care what anyone else thinks. It was way better than the dark knight. I like the larger scale and the upp'd stakes.

I'm equally irritated at the people that took a 3 month old in the theater. My daughter is almost one and I'm not even thinking movies until like 3 or 4 years. Seriously they took a 3 month old?

That said they still deserve to be in a safe place even if they made a dumb decision. I fear that this incident will dredge up "security" concerns and more rights of ours will be taken away.

Seriously?! You need to see some more movies than mate. That's just crazy talk.
What is this? "The Cult of Nolan".

I was so sad and angry when I read news this morning, what a coward this gun man is. Is this the first time ever happened where a gun man shoot people randomly inside the theatre?

Have they identified the gun man yet?

it happened before with the 50 cent movie and they pulled it out of some theatres.

I can't believe all this talk about the shooter being a Nolan fan just because it happened during a showing of TDKR. That is supper narrow thinking right there. What if it happens during a showing of ASM? Then he is a Mark Webb fan?

People are dead because of one psycho and all we can do is point fingers at fans of the movie instead of the shooter. The problem here is not the fans but the shooter. Get that straight.

The only motivation he need that day is seeing blood. Got nothing to do with it being TDKR or not.

I don't understand why people do that either, but yes, they deserved to be in a safe environment and that child did not deserve what happened.

I wonder if they'll find out exactly why he did this. Besides him being a psychopath and all, and other than "he just woke up one day and decided to mow down an entire theater full of people."

That doesn't necessarily make sense, but who says it's someone in support of this film? I'm saying it's someone against it.

I seriously doubt it has much to do with the movie itself ... for or against. Probably just looking for a large crowd in a closed space in the dead of night.

Takes a real coward to shoot women and children in a cinema.
Agreed. I'm guessing his cowardice also provoked him to bring the tear gas, kevlar vest and riot shield, thinking he was going to walk out of this without consequence. Wrong. If the justice system is smart, he'll be dead in a year.

But they aren't. We will be paying for his incarceration for quite some time. As well as providing hime safety and free healthcare.
