I expected the price but I don't like it. Feels a little price gougey to me. Still, even with the niggles I have over the piece (which made me consider just getting a cheaper reg version instead), I up and ordered the ex. It's just going to be one of those pieces that I am going to have to take extra care in where and how I display it, to play up the positives and downplay the niggles I have about it.

Besides, it's the first Sideshow Batman statue, and I already have Joker and Ivy coming, so unless they screwed it up (which they didn't) they pretty much had my money. I just wish it wasn't quite so much of my money...

Gotta be careful though, or this DC line is gonna kill me...

Will wait for bbts. The tiny batarang is not worth the deposit and the extra money it costs to order from sideshow. It's cool but not 440.00 plus shipping cool.

Headsculpts always get tweaked before we get the statue anyways.

Well, cancelled Poison Ivy the other week as I knew this was coming and frankly with this ridiculously high prices Batman and Joker will be my only DC PF's. Thanks SSC's for jacking the price up like that. Just remember when it arrives, it better look like 399 or you'll be paying me 399 + shipping, back. EX Ordered.

I am guessing that DC charged Sideshow a pretty high price for the license.


btw, this is one of the lamest Exclusives so far. I would almost rather have a print then a batarang that is practically hidden.

Two heads, tailored cloth and a detailed base, I expected $350-$375, but it's $400. It's Batman so I ordered the EX. The Batarang makes my life better. But I had to reevaluate my list after this and Ivy being a surprise. I took off 3 upcoming statues I'll be passing on now, and 1 other statue is now a "maybe".

What pieces are you holding out for peedi? How do you know what's coming? Just educated guess or confirmed pieces? Just wondering as I
am new to the hobby wondering if there is a resource I don't know about. This was my first confirmed SS purchase, got on the Rhino waitlist.

Just so you know, the deposit comes off of the total price you pay, it isn't extra on top of it. So it's still $400, you just pay the first $40 as a deposit up front.

Why did they sculpt the cape? It is the only think I don't like...that "flow" over his right shoulder looks weird.

I like the Sour puss batman face much more. I prefer the shorter ears and I think it has a much MUCH better profile. Now in hand that could change but here is what I don't like about the none SP batman head


The forehead and nose of the mask slope right into each other. I prefer the nose on the mask to be more rectangular in shape like the SP batman head has. You can see where the nose on the mask starts. Now I do like the non SP batman face a little more but I like everything better about the SP MASK better.

EX ordered. Great piece, although the exclusive appears to be pretty much hidden by the cape. Still, I've been waiting for a Batman PF since I started buying their products, so ordering the exclusive was a formality.
