That mod is awesome, but darn it! I am not much of a stitching kind of guy

Excellent job, Dave!

Stitching ain't that hard really. Doesn't even have to be machine perfect since it will be on the inside of the vest anyway. I'm defintiely gonna give it a try, looks 100% better. Unfortunately, my wife gave her sewing machine away a few years back, so it looks like I will have to do it by hand...ugh. Dave, how thick is the material of the vest?

Looks like the armor got overheated and actually melted.. I usually use hot water that get the plastic loose, but not melted.

As I said - ignore the stomach plate - that was my fault and it didn't come like that.

That looks amazing. The boxiness isn't an issue at all in these pics. What was your secret to getting the vest to look so good? As for the stomach plate, I didn't even notice until you mentioned it.

Yeah, I'd still like to get a slight bit of curve to the plates.

Yeah, I used to do 12 seconds in my microwave which I always thought was perfect, then one day I shrinky-dinked Jango's armor. Never again bad microwave. :rotfl

I'm surprised that happened. At least it happened symmetrically, so it isn't an eyesore. I used a hairdryer on my Stormtroopers' chest armor to accomplish the same thing, but it didn't melt it like that. Could the plasitc on this be different, or did you just over do it, I wonder. Either way, hot water is going to be the way to go if I feel the need to mod mine when I get it (any minute now--hurry up UPS).

Although it looks better it exposes the lower mid section too much, and belt area looks funny, the armor should be sitting lower. Again this is something none of us should even be having to do...PERIOD. I did end up cancellling my exclusive version, so I'm not just talking, they are not getting my money on this guy.

I really wish we could all collectively agree and send back these figures demanding better of SSC, ah if only .....

Hate to break it to you but the mid section is exposed like that with the real suit. Dave might have the ammo belt a little low but the girth belt and ammo belt can be moved up to your liking.

Ok, Alter Ego, feel free to ship mine today...LOL - the pics are making the wait not fun!

At least I didn't pay state tax! ZiP!

Ok, Dave's pics have given me real hope that Fett can be Motherfutzed right

I go hot water for all my mods. Looking forward to seeing what the combination of hot water and Dave's mod looks like.

Stupid question...but how hot is the water? Hot like from the tap hot, boiling, or somewhere in-between?

I go hot water for all my mods.

There's a really funny joke in there somewhere.......

OMG, how awesome would that be?? They're supposed to get them sometime this week.... :yess:

I had an evil (albeit awesome) thought: what if the wave 2 people - who get theirs a week later than the rest - get a Fett that's already corrected? LOL AWESOME!

Somewhere in between but it really depends on the item. For Stormtrooper armor I just start a pot on the burner and once the pot starts forming small bubbles along the sides and bottom I'll drop it in. I then take it out after 20-30 seconds and see if it's pliable, once I'm able to curve it to a desirable point I put it under cold water at my sink, which sets it.

Why not just say it came that way even if it didn't? :lol That should piss some people off.
