I like the gray, rainy looking background. Thor being Ye Olde Gawd o' Thunderrrrr and all.
Good ole' english weather!

It is a bit of a pain to get him in a hammer-pulling pose whilst using the rock stand for it. I had fun trying though

Yeah I've had a hard time with the same kinda pose. I think if I obscure enough with shadows and angles, I could eventually get it to work. Otherwise it's hard to make it look like his wrist isn't broken, heh.

Here's my quick pic......great pics guys i like how you posed him trying for his hammer scene.....

i don't know if any one of you have this problem, but the little red cloth under his gauntlet keeps falling off :slapwhat can i use to fix it ? i tried glue but it seems to stain the cloth a bit .. :gah:

Got this guy today, I think he's a great figure. Love the head sculpt. Only problem is the weak ankles. I don't like stands so it's a bit of a worry for me. Any advice for a fix?
Thanks

One trick I learned to tighten up joints is to put crazy glue in the joint, then constantly move the joint until the glue dries. Make sure to never stop moving the joint until glue dries, that way you won't mess up your joint.

That's what I did for mine.

:clap:clap
That looks sooo much better. I never liked the yellow green tint his hair had. I'm glad I waited for the new Thor, but yours looks very similar to it now. He still could have a better likeness though. It really makes me wonder if Hot Toys purposely makes figures with flaws, just so they can release an "improved" version later. They have very talented people; but it seems like the best likenesses are usually a figure they only do once, or the second version of a character.

Looks like after a full year of waiting for better and upgraded AVE version... I'll buy this figure.
It's still lying in my local store for $205.

. . .

This is RIDDICKULOUS! >__<
