Nice review, joebizz34. Send an email to Hot Toys ([email protected]) or Sideshow and that will fix you right up.

I tried the email-to-Hot-Toys-route. They emailed back in about 3 days, asking for pics of the figure and proof of payment. Here's their email to me:

From: [email protected]
Subject: Re: Classic Pred

Hello,

Would you please provide the sales receipt & the photo support for our checking?
We will get back to you soon after receiving the above information.

Thanks!
Remarks: After-sales service will only be provided for first-hand purchase via official channels.
After-sales service is not applicable for purchase on online auction sites (e.g. eBay, Yahoo) and unofficial channels.

Due to the limited edition nature of our collectibles, we cannot guarantee that all accessories or items can be replaced. Please note that over 30 days of purchase or product released for more than 1 year will NOT be accepted. Hot Toys reserves final rights on all replacement requests.

Thanks,
Best regards
KC/ Hot Toys Ltd

I sent pics and a paypal screenshot.

They never responded after that.

The ebay person I purchased from is an actual hobby store who sells nothing but figures and accessories. Maybe he wasn't an "official channel". Either way, it's resolved, but it would have been professional of Hot Toys to let me know one way or another rather than just ignore it.

Did you really expect them to help you..? Hot Toys doesn't give a ____ about their customers..

They have to protect themselves from people trying to get free parts out of them. But if you send them a screengrab of your paypal payment they will help you out. It might take them a while to respond, but when they do, it's usually to tell you they've sent the part and a tracking number.

I have constantly mailed them about my Bruce Wayne/Batman figure because of the color on the suit turning grey without me doing anything to it. They never responded.

Classic in the rain... (ok, not really). Just a weird effect I had on my cell phone, thought it looks kinda cool.

I did deal with HT once directly for a small issue with another figure I bought and they made me go through the same process of proving the purchase and emailing them pics. Then no response for a very long time. One day a few months later, I received an email back saying they were sending out a replacement part and I did receive it. So for all who has contacted them, be patient. If you have given the proof needed, you may be surprised.

:dunno

That's seem to be Hot Toys way to do 2nd better versions, Batman, Joker, Terminator all got the DX treatment, I just don't see how Predator could have its DX version, aside from detachable shoulder cannon or medikit it doesn't have enough accesories.

A tree base and an extremely well articulated body maybe?

You either have not seen any of the movies or not creative enough. :dunno

My Classic, and my Shadow. :)

They complement each other quite well, I think.
