Not even then. Details of the legacy system are starting to leak. New races are unlocked through it.
I'm not seeing this anywhere. Everyone's saying that you're only unlocking new race/class combinations..No actual new races, just the same ones we already have, but you're able to play different classes as them.

EDIT: Really? Sith Pureblood as a JEDI? I'm getting scared.

Also reading that Bioware apparently said they aren't going to make any non-humanoid races because they believe you won't feel for the character as much or somthing...?

Uhg..I don't want this game to fail.

I think that's a PR response.
The real reason is probably that it'd be a pain to fit all the items for the various races size and shapes.

For most, they'd just have to adjust the head gear. Togruta, Nautolan, Kel Dor, Iktotchi, Rodian, Trandoshan, Ithorian, and many others basically have humanish bodies..it's just the heads that greatly differ.

I'm on hiatus after moving and waiting to get the internet back on, which isn't until the 13th! :gah:

It's no weirder that Putting the Chiss into the galaxy more than 3000 Years before they learned to speak basic.

It's much wierder... They could say "Oh, well, all records of the Chiss were erased" or some crap like that..but a SITH PUREBLOOD being a JEDI? Not defending the Chiss issue, it annoys me as well..but this just seems much more outrageous.

Is that even possible? I don't think it is.. They ARE the SITH..how can they..how..they're the sith..they're..how...

It defeats the whole purpose of the race.......

Got my sith jugg to 32 and unlocked my legacy.

Landar Darkwind

Curious to see how this legacy system plays out.

It just continues to show how little respect Bioware/EA has for the source material of the universe they're being allowed to play in.

i REALLY think that the design of the game centered around " this looks cool, it'll make us ALOt of money, lets put it in"

Most of the dumb decisions like that make about as much sense as an iDea along these lines.

" Hey, Kids LOVe wolverine, lets find a way to put him into the next batman flick"

I must admit, I'm actually REALLY shocked that they didn't attempt to shoehorn R2, and 3PO into the game. Or a Han solo ancestor, who looks, talks, and for all intents and purposes IS han solo, right down to traveling the galaxy with Chewie's great great great grandfather.

or, you know, Han himself, and have that story end with him getting frozen in carbonite. after all, they thawed him OUt of carbonite in return of the jedi, right?

UGH. Yes, the game is fun, but i think the dev team could have REALLY benefited from having someone on it who knows more about star wars than just whats in the clone wars cartoon.

Whelp. I've canceled. Original Everquest went free to play, and WoW made an amazing offer with the updated scroll of Resurrection.
TOR made me nostalgic for both of those games, and now I've got two reasons to switch.

Gonna take a look at ToR every time there is a major content update, but looks like I'm going back to azeroth.

Unfortunately..same for me..ish.

I haven't cancelled yet, just waiting for the next patch..although it doesn't look like it'll be adding anything that will make me enjoy the game any more.
Really want to play WoW right now..which is funny because I began hating that game before I quit. :lol

I remember being so excited for this game to come out, thinking that it would destroy all others and be the ultimate MMO... Shocked that this is all we get. So bland and boring now. Everytime I log in I walk around my ship thinking of what I should do..but then I realize the only thing I can do are the missions..can't go out, explore, have fun, etc.. :(

MY Old republic account is paid up till july, so i'll peek in on the next content patch.

if your wow account is not currently active, I can toss you a scroll of Resurrection. you get 7 days free play, Cataclysm added to your account for free, and you get to elevate one of your characters to level 80, as well as offering you a free server move and faction swap to the one as the guy who sends you a scroll of Resurrection if you want it.

pretty sweet deal overall.

I wanted to love this game, because to me, Star Wars Galaxies, in it's prime, was a better game than Warcraft was, before the big Combat Revamp. I bought Old Republic hoping to find some of that gaming nostalgia, and I played pretty regularly for a few weeks, but havent logged on in a couple of months, I probably need to quit.

I think the thing that bugs me the most is Ill be questing in some new capital city area, and it feels like you are running on foot for like 10 minutes to get to where your objective is, and then have to go right back, and then back again. The cities are MASSIVE and already empty, I can't imagine how depressing these areas will be months later when more people leave the game.

Really had high hopes, but I think Im done with it.

I haven't given up yet (and I'm paid for a few months) but I haven't played in 20 days and right now I'm deep into Zen Pinball :hi5::hi5:

I do want to at the very least finish my IA story. I'd like to play the Jugg and Sorcerer story too.

I've been wondering if anyone is still playing this game. I could honestly see going back to this game in a few months once my Xbox backlog gets caught up. But I gotta agree with Lar'ja Thwei that one of my biggest reasons for leaving is the lack of content that doesn't involve missions.

I'm sure plenty of people are still playing it. I haven't been able to play it as much lately though, I've got to finish Mass Effect 3, plus I keep playing Starcraft 2 so I run out of time for TOR.
