I'm pretty happy with my SE but I'll probably update his HS. I'm iffy about Timber, I'll wait to see some in hand pics before I make that call.

SS emailed a coupon for $18 off for your next order, I was gonna use it for this but I'm gonna use it towards the Black suit Spider-Man Ex. Still 50/50 on this one

Just a heads up.

Yeah, I saw that. I ended up cancelling and using the coupon.

I won't get the points now, but whatever. $182 is better than $200. Thanks Sideshow! :)

WTF is wrong with the commando head? Besides the small goggles, the thing looks like a serial killer.

Um, I don't think Snake Eyes should look like a serial killer...

What sweater did you use there? I know it's been discussed to death in the old SE figure thread, but I never bothered since he sort of looks like he's wearing a bodysuit in the '85 figure.

Might get this for this one, though... It'd actually be the first Sideshow figure I mod at all, believe it or not.

I like the head sculpts for the new SE but the rest is a little underwhelming for me. I personally dig the outfit and gear on the first SE more. Given the price tag, I doubt I'll pick this one up though I may try to obtain at least one of the head sculpts and do a custom.

It's the ACI sweater, it's a good fit.

My prob with the ACI sweater is that it is so thick. I would love a thinner ribbed sweater cut like the ACI one or even the one the current snake eyes has.

I couldn't pull the trigger on this figure; at least not yet.:(

You, sir, would be looking for the ever illusive Art Figures Saves sweater then.

Thanks for that, cancelled and re-ordered...saving $18 is much better (basically comes to getting free shiping on it)

It's probably pretty unlikely this late in the game but if the commando sculpt could just have the goggles tweaked a bit to resemble the statue this would be my favourite 1:6 thus far. I'd be in favour of the other gear tweaks already mentioned.

That being said the more I look at this knowing the price for me is only a tad over with a RP deduction...it's slowly gaining my enthusiasm back.

Highly doubt it's going to be released by September 2012 though.

It's not late in the game. The product was just revealed, so there's still a good chance of SSC taking critique on it and fixing glaring issues like the 1:7th scale goggles and Timber's yawning head.

The list of examples of this is quite extensive and a few have been referenced in this thread.

Although I am good with the figure, I would not mind...nor would I be surprised...to find...as a minimum...the goggles bumped up in size prior to the release of the production figure.

It's kind of disappointing that this version of Snake Eyes turn out looking like "Jason Vorhees in the 25th Century".
