Welcome to the garrison! They are indeed the best mass produced apes EVER!!
Wookster, any idea if more are still in the works?

As far as I know the line is still under development, but as HT is so busy with other more... dare I say it 'relevant' licenses, I can't see it happening for some time yet... but who knows?

I actually hope Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans figures fail for Hot Toys. Spirit-level fail. Maybe then they will not take on such suspect licences, and a video game movie and remake of a kitschy cult classic are about as suspect as you can get.

I finally bought the gorilla soldier last week and in hand it the best 1:6 figure I have ever owned, rivalled only by HT recent Martian Ambassador. I am looking to get Ursus now.

I am so irritated they can put out multiple figures for Resident Evil but leave POTA and Watchmen figures with two woefully incomplete lines.

Madness :horror Are you kidding? do you know who Sam Worthington is?! Hes gonna be kicking ass with a sword (with a sword) Movie will be Epic. Also Prince of Persia is the new Pirates! And I love the costumes in both films, they will make great looking figures. Hopefully the lines will be so successful Hot Toys will pick up other licenses in this time period (Troy, Gladiator) And if anything they should be making more videogame figures hello God of War 3, Bioshock 2 :banana

Disney + PG-13 + video game movie has potential to all-time epically bad. The trailer confirms my suspicion. At best it will be watchable, in the way that say Wolverine was if you did not think about all the things wrong with it. :duh

Forty years later and people want to buy Planet of the Apes collectibles. Same with superheroes or a truly long-term masterpiece like Alien, Terminator or Gladiator.

Come back in five years a tell me how great Prince of Persia or BioResidentHaloF#@k 5 is. General Ursus will be waiting to laugh at you.:lol

Why would you wish anything bad on Hot Toys when they've given us so much. :monkey2

I don't really care about the movies performance, I believe HT will make excellent figures. I think the Prince costume looks cool and can't wait to see what they do with it. also I hope they make some of the Mythological creatures

Interesting.

I hear this a lot. It is interesting that many collectors don't care about whether or not the films these figures come from are actually good or not... as long as the figures themselves look cool.

Take for example Hot Toys "Terminator Salvation" line. Some truly amazing figures they have created. However, they come from a VERY mediocre film. I haven't heard a single glowing review of it. Yet there are collectors that literally pour the entire remains of their wallet into the line. I can only assume it's for the love of the long running "Terminator" franchise that this comes from and not for the McG snoozer itself.

Me, I have to really like the film and the character that the figure is based on to spend $125-$175 on it.

This is the only Marcus I'd be interested in: :naughty

Anyone have a really loose waist joint on their Ursus? Just got mine today. Fantastic figure, but just noticed the the chest/waist joint is very loose. Not really a problem, but just wondering if is a general issue?

Loose in what way?
Floppy?

Mine seems OK, but not the tightest joint. Don't know if he's top heavy but he sags a little at the waist. Not too big a deal since these guys look best hunched over anyway.

... and Hot Toys signatuire stand doesn't help to support this problem either. My son's Ursus has taken a nose dive off the shelf a couple of times.

Yes... my 10 year old son has Hot Toys Ursus... so what?

Mine is safe in an acrylic case. :D

The swivel joint in the chest/waist? Underneath the armor?
It's really loose, if I shook him it would swing. As u say posing him hunched over like an ape takes away the problem. Amazing figure though. Just wondering since Im late getting him were there any HT glitches with this set. My ape soldier is on it's way. And then I know I will want the captain with the flag....

My poor visa card..

The more Apes you buy, the better chance we get to having a second wave. :naughty

Question, is 600 euros a good price for all three POTA figures brand new in box?
