The best thing is no response by him for 10 days...so, paypal will refund your money.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Hello all,

Sorry I have been away for a while but I have been extremely busy compiling a case for PayPal. This is now a police matter as one of the distributors that Dave has ripped off as well has gone last night to the HK police to file a claim. Once PayPal respond to my case I will also go straight to the police from my end. I have tried to answer all of you that I sent invoices from via my email to make a claim straight away. If you haven't already then please do so straight away. If you are worried about not getting your money back please don't. I have contacted PayPal and they said that you will all be refunded as they have insurance against these types of situations. Please call them from your end if you are still worried. I will not be answering any more questions here. If you need something please email me. I do not have the funds to refund you as the money has been sent to Dave and the distributors. All this has however been frozen pending investigation by PayPal. Again, you will all be refunded.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

Why are you demanding a refund from one of te users here and tell PayPal he was the seller huh ?? ____...

I am not. Are you sure that's my invoice? PayPal has acted when I described my situation and any refunds or money I send prior to all hell breaking loose has been frozen by PayPal pending investigation. This would explain why.

Dave is a real person as per his facebook. Mario Leon who was also ripped off knows him personally. I am not Dave. As you can all understand all this has caused extreme stress on me and my family. I hope you all understand this and this is why this will be my last post here. My solicitor is extremely confident I will clear my name with all the evidence I have against Dave with the case I put to PayPal. If you have any direct questions please email me and I will help as much as I can.

Seems to me this was a scam to get people to order from them and further down the line they know PayPal will refund the buyers so it works out a scam against PayPal.

ie people wait but are happy to get there money back while you drive off in to the distance knowing that people have been paid back and PayPal is left to pick up the bill chasing down Dave. :exactly:

Oh and you are the one that owes people money not Dave you sent the invoices and funds
were payed into your account that makes you the main scammer not this so called Dave

Ok well as I said you would clear your name here if you could give us any kind of proof of the conversations between you and Dave and/or any forwarded payments to Dave and the distributors
Also if you check page 71 you see that one user was surprised by the fact that Peter halasz has demanded a refund...

There is no name to be cleared. Razor is as dodgy as they come.

Not to be a party pooper but I really struggle to imagine them clearing you of wrongdoing after what you've said here. Ignoring all the moral issues (pretending to be a new customer to drum up business, etc), you were accepting payments for invoices and forwarding the money elsewhere. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think PayPal are just gonna side with you and your "aw shucks, I just got too big a heart and di'n't know what I was doing" act. Let's say you were naive, as you've repeatedly said, that doesn't mean you're not to blame.

The claim that you were accepting payments because your friend's account (a man running an online store!) needed to be verified, no other reason than that, comes off as absolutely ludicrous and unbelievable. You originally told people here that you did it all for no reason other than to 'help,' and I'm sure that's the sugar-coated story you've presented to PayPal that makes you and your solicitor think you'll be cleared, but after some prodding on here you admitted you were in fact profiting by receiving a HT figure (or figures) in exchange for accepting payments. I have to imagine PayPal are going to find that out, they're not just going to take your story as the gospel.

Best-case scenario, I say, PayPal sides with the buyers and refund their money, and you are held accountable for your actions and are given a bill for the amount of money that passed through your account. That's my assessment as a man who enjoys CourtTV.

Yes I agree. I would also say that all the people claiming through PayPal make sure that they know about Razor 1 and how he said he had nothing to do with the website. Seems to me he is trying to play the I am innocent card to make people feel sorry for him. Make this scum pay, I have no doubt he is the scammer trying to get people to chase a bogus seller.

Re: Unofficial Hot Toys web-shop--legit?

as long as it was paid through PayPal with Normal Checkout, not as a GIFT, you will be fine. meaning you logged into your PayPal account and paid him. File your claim, and your claim will be submitted against this Leon guy.

You haven't been keeping up. I am one of the few who actually did get his figure! ;)

I have just been providing info for folks should it be of any use.

I think Eamon and Steve74 are the only two established forum members who received their items.
