Hot Toys- 300 - King Leonidas spec and pics

It was a great movie and it's such a nice figure... I just think they should be wearing a little more body armor than a speedo... even other roman gladiators whore metal chest armor.

So instead of spending $600 - I ordered a HT leonidas head sculpt, helmet, shield, spear and feet... and the new Flamma ACI gladiator I'm going to use for the body and weaponry, and HT Perseus Armor for equipment... Let you know how it turns out

The perseus is more like modern bike armor than Greek armour, check ebay everything you need is sold loose I'm even sculpting my own armour

The body for Leonidas is one of its defining features. I dont see why one would want to replace that.

Oh and I found my old portable air con and was able to get it working! Now I dont need to worry about Leo withstanding 30 degree temperatures. Although funnily enough as soon as I had it working, the weather forecast changes and now we have overcast and rain for the week

The details esp. on its body are just magnificent.

Its gonna be a fun year switching between the new and the old

..but be careful in backtracking now..HT seems to re-issue, relaunch old figs so be cautious.

I don't give a damn. I also don't see how they could improve the BRJ sculpts and as far as the others go I don't think HT will bother with such isolated licenses.

BRJ won't be reissued, there are no areas for HT to improve on IMO

Anyone spare me a few minutes and take a macro of the necklace thingy... tooth I guess.

I want to sculpt and paint one...


Got the CM Toys body with the mad Leonidas head... this is turning out GOOD...

Nice, though if your going for a non movie version you may as well make an historical version, in which case I'd use none of those parts except the body & face

I'd probably dry brush his chest armour a gold colour to match the rest of it though...

Edit: Didnt read your comment about losing the chest armour lol. Still think it looks cool - with a matching colour...
