This is expensive, but a must for my collection. I just ordered the regular. I don't need the SS exclusive. Hot toys is getting harder and harder to collect. Too expensive to get everything. Many are having to become more selective.

the guys must be mad who bought the red suit and did not get the sculpt. hot toys always try to suck you wallet dry!!!!!!!!!!

I have the red and blue, and am more than happy. I paid less, got the costume I like more, and didn't spend extra on a sculpt I don't want.

The same thing happened with the HT T1 figure. (Sideshow vs others)

That's why I don't understand the complaining about price. I won't be getting this from SS. The Ex. isn't a draw for me.

Yup! Normally I would get this right away but being out of work I gotta pick and choose. Well, unless I get that job at BIA that pays 5000 dollars a month.

I've decided to collect just the iconic characters of cinema anyway like Don Vito, Predator, Joker, Indy, Supes, Jack Sparrow.

I don't consider Tobey Maguire's Spiderman to be in that vein.

Well the complaining IS fair if comparing to the first release but aside from that I also don't see the point. The exclusive takes top spot for most lame imo. Like I said before, with that amazing sculpt i'm all in.

As for being selective? It is a must these days. It'll also make you appreciate your collection alot more imo.

With all the other stuff coming out in 2012 I think this will stick around for a while. In no rush to order this...and unclear if I ever will. Likely just picking up the sculpt and base separately to go with my regular spidey

It's always great seeing a new figure released. I'll be passing on this one, the red and blue suit is all the Spidey I need. But I hope this is a sign we might be seeing more out of the Spiderman line - I'd pick up Doc Ock in a heartbeat.

Would like to find it for cheaper otherwise I will go with them.

I ordered the regular version and had 16 bucks off from points. Not bad. I was really hoping this would be $169.00 like the same price as Harry since its the same amount of accessories. But I have to have this. Bad news for us collectors that the prices are constantly going up but I guess that's the hobby we are in and can choose not to buy if we don't agree with pricing.

Meh, its a tank of gas. After taxes and shipping an $150 item becomes close to $180+ anyway.

Here we go, The people saying its too much blah blah blah but once inhand picks come up they change their mind and its back to "thank god I po'd it"!!!! Same story over and over again.

Sure, many of us will pick this up, but the price keeps increasing for a figure that comes with pretty much the same accessories as their older figures. We have the right to complain about the price, many of us bought many HT figures in the past and are pretty much loyal customers. And I'm sure it's not gonna be a flawless figure for $210.

I will say though, it'd be nice if HT's could explain the price increases. Eg. Likeness rights. We just assume (obviously the case though) figures like the 89 Joker and Symbiote Spidey come with it. A clarification would be nice.

Nah, I bought it for $135 plus I used some points towards it. Red SM>Black SM. Good to own both.

The Toby sculpt is unreal, the rest I could care less about. I wonder if anyone will attempt to mod their classic Spidey to work with the TM sculpt, I'd love to see that!
