He doesn't when he's tied up, but after Royce frees him, he must change into it off screen prior to his fight with Berserker Predator. Must have been awkward for Royce.

Thanks for clearing that up, looks like I may have to watch it again tonight. Also I hope they include the holographic earth as an accessory

They should have released this before the NECA 1/4 Predator came out. I would have bought it then. It is pretty underwhelming compared to the NECA IMO.

It is pretty cool compared to NECA's IMO. My NECA predators are cool and big, but they just have things that I wish they didn't. Things like ____ netting, bad ankles, stiff dreads, and loose joints that affect posing.

I agree that it is a bit less impressive than I would have hoped, and I'm not sure exactly why. . .maybe because we've seen this figure before in a slightly different incarnation. Maybe it's because there is so much other awesome stuff around him that reduces him impact by comparison. Maybe it's because Taylor Durden and Baloo have created awesome masks that look pretty similar to this. Maybe it's because we know deep down he was from a pretty crappy movie.

But I don't think comparison with the NECA figure is actually contributing to that in my eyes. In fact, I know with 100% certainty that that's not the case

I wasn't trying to start a big problem either. I just think this guy will be cooler, but then again 1/6 scale is kind of my favorite type of figure. NECA's figures look good but I still miss all of the gimics and what not that accompany the HT figures. That's why I like HT more. But remember, this is coming from the guy that buys both.

Its a day one for me too. And yeah, It would be awesome if there were some new Terminator figures shown. They show MORE Iron Man figs but no more Terminator figs? WTF?

I don't know what it is but every time I look at the pics of Classic I feel slightly underwhelmed. Maybe it's because I was hoping he would be a replacement for P1, maybe it's because it's still an early prototype...I'm not sure?

yah, based on the SDCC prototype shown, its surely not a replacement for P1...even in the movie itself, they don't look that similar right? But maybe HT will revisit the actual P1 with the new body.

Im getting this guy as i saw the original P1 in hand and thought it was a bit poo tbh, but this 1 looks much better on the new body.

That newer, clearer pic from Michael gets me even more excited. I think I figured out why it seems a bit "cheap" or "thrown together." The Shadow Predator has a similar vibe and I believe it's because of how the thick netting looks on the body (almost reminds me of yarn). It wasn't as noticeable on the previous Predator figures because those showy joints drew attention away from it. That's my take, at least.

Not that I'm complaining, I mean, the figure still looks fantastic and they actually updated the netting to fit on the new body, not to mention it's now properly colored black. Asking for a thinner string would be pushing it (plus then you'd throw durability out the window). Right now it's at a great balance point; accurate, yet it won't fall apart in your hands.
