Ended up pre-ordering this guy from BBTS to reduce the sticker shock on the asking price since I already have store credit there. It'll knock a significant amount off the price once my order is processed.

This would be around 18 inches or roughly 1/4 scale? That's a good one! I'm definitely getting this

(If you were serious) it's roughly the size of 1/4 scale statues but it's 1/6 scale, being that the Na'vi were much taller than humans.

yes, it's around 18 inches. no, it's not roughly 1/4 scale. unless you have some other way of calculating scale that doesn't involve math.

or even HT Jake = 1/6 scale. he was 10' in the movie, 18" is not 1/6 of that. he's a good 2" too short. and don't even get me started on their stumpy predators.

What is the actual calculation between 1:1 to 1:4, 1:6...?

According to what I found online Jake is 3 meters tall, or 9.84 feet.

So a 1:1 would be just under 10 ft. 1:4 would be just under 2.5ft (or around 30 inches). 1:6 is 19.68 inches

for Jake? according to the internet, he's 10ft (12in x 10 = 120in). so 1/4 of that is 30in. and 1/6 of that is 20in. i'm glad that expensive engineering degree is getting some use here.

the easiest way to convert anything to 1/6 scale is to take the number of feet and double it, then change it to inches. so a 6ft character is (6 x 2 = 12) 12in. a 16ft alien queen is 32in. and so on. great scale to use.

I bet you would have loved if Cameron had gone with Michael Biehn to play Quarritch. I'm still surprised he opted not to. The guy who played him in the end was great but I wish Biehn would be in more films.
