Man look at this crazy kid! I have no idea who he is but he's ugly as hell and freaks out way too much over toys.

I do it because of two things, I don't have the room and I want the money more because something seemed more interesting and cool in photos but fails to live up to what I expected. For example, the Lost Predator looked bad ass in the photos but once I got him in hand he looked like a pile of green ____. Same with the Dog Alien, looked nice and ____ in the beginning but after a few weeks he began to look like a rubbery piece of brown _____ matter. Harsh? Possibly, but they didn't live up to my expectations. Iron Man was bought with the intentions to sell because I don't even give a rat ____ about that figure, but I figured, and was told by the seller, that I would be able to make $300 later down the road, same I was looking for with Guardian. I can't remember any other figures I have gotten and sold.

On the flip side, I have plenty of figures that I will never sell, for example: Scar, Chopper, Ancient, Berserker, Falconer, Wolf, Wolf Cleaner, Predalien(That's iffy actually), Captain Rex, Commander Cody, Plo Koon, Shock Trooper, Commander Bly, Tracker, and Barney Ross. That's a total of 15 figures I do not plan on selling because I either really like how they were made or that I love the movie they came from. That greatly outnumbers the amount of figures I have sold. I rarely, actually only once, buy with the intentions to sell later on.

I collect because something looks cool. Even with the smaller Predators, NECA. I don't buy spares with the intentions of selling those off later on for profit, but because I like having a lot.

:slap:horror:gah:

After all this to get one, you sell it in less than a year?!?!? :dunno:lol

Fair enough:wink1:

Did anyone else send in a request for the Guardian Predator in the distressed sale prices in tonight's newsletter?? I sent in the request, but I doubt I'll get him.

Here are the pics of the one I returned...

Wow, that's trashed. I'd still take it for the figure, though. I actually had a Guardian and sold him to make the money to buy my P1.

I don't regret selling him for that, but I'd love to be able to get it at retail, trashed box or not.

I didn't send my request until this evening, so I'm sure I missed out. :/

I sent one also. The email said they would have "some" available but the letter said just one. :/

What email? The newsletter? I didn't see that information...

Wow... That is hardly $171 worth, is it? IF that's the 'distressed box' they are selling now.

Anyway, good luck!

I've sent the email to them to buy that Guardian Predator before I even received the newsletter, I've seen it on the newsletter site after logging in. But they answered saying there was already someone else who sent an email first. I only received the newsletter email about 6 hours after that. I guess the only way is to check on the newsletter site. I had this on wait list and they sent a previous email warning about the availability of this item on a first come first serve basis, but they said to check on the newsletter email and I was waiting for it :( .

Even with that damage on the box, as long as the contents are in good condition it's a deal.

Wow that box is disgusting. I don't mind a couple dings and scratches, but that's extremely destroyed. If I'm the lucky one to get this one I'll gladly let it go for what SS charged me for it.

I looked at the newsletter 30 minutes after it's was released and didn't see anywhere about it? Which section exactly giving u link to buy this distressed product? Thank you.

Well I guess for that cheap price it's a gamble :)

Yes, SSC is known to do that. Offer sold out things for contests while the wait-list is still active, or, offer previously sold out items on 'second chance' while there's people on the wait-list... It all happened to me in the past.

I received an email from Sideshow saying that I didn't get it... :monkey2

Hope a true collector from here was able to pick him up.

Sorry to hear that, and while I share your concerns (well, sort off), there's a fair chance it will get flipped: did you check the Ebay prices for this piece recently?
