You've got a nice display as it is. I wouldn't rush things. Make sure you get a belt that you really want instead of forcing yourself to purchase a belt that you feel so-so about because it's a grrat deal. Display space is key. It's not like these are Hot Toys figures where you can load up a display space full of them. One belt takes up a great deal of room on display.

True. I will hold off. I am really looking forward to having both displayed. I am also looking forward to TLC. I think its a great time to be a wrestling fan.

Just broke down and bought the winged eagle belt. It'll be a fun thong to have in my house! I had spent a little time on the indy scene in 2002-03 after training at Harley Race's academy in Eldon, MO. Couldn't make a long run of it, but wrestling is still pretty close to my heart.

I have de-railed the WWE Mattel WWE figures thread for a while and figured it was time that these awesome collectibles were given their own thread. If you collect these guys, let us know and maybe even post some pics!

These look awesome! What kind of belt is the wcw belt? Is an ultra deluxe or a regular replica? There seems to be tons of wcw belts out there and I'm not sure which to get (I bought one years 10 years ago and the plates were completely flat!).

Are those little belt's 1/6? It doesn't look like the straps are, but what about the plates?

Nice!
I have allot of respect for the guys that are able to do this. It just seems very tough, especially by today's standards. I actually ordered a second Winged Eagle. I bought my first one used, and for less then $200, I kind of wanted a perfect one for display.

This is a just a random google image when I searched for "replica belts".
The small belts look to be the "mini"versions that they sell. Sorry, I don't know too much about them:dunno

Thanks balsquat! I went to wrestling school right after college, and yep, very tough but also fun. I was trained in the same class as Trevor Murdoch, and got to meet a whole lot of cool guys who had wrestled in wwe in the 80's. Sometimes I wish I had tried to make a longer go of it, but I'm a teacher, author, husband, and a new father so I can't complain!

In addition to belts, I have a few of the autographed plaques that wweshop.com sometimes sells. Do you? They're pretty sweet.

Nice looking belts Balsquat. I basically watch the WWE now for the Divas. I miss Trish Stratus and Torrie Wilson. btw I do love that new Diva, Kaitlyn. *roar* She's big and purdeh. :inlove

No, replica belts will be as far as I take Wrestling collectibles. I just need to draw the line somewhere:lol

Thanks Eli, you have good taste in Divas, though now-a-days you can't really go wrong with any of them. It's funny that you mentioned Trish Stratus, as she owns a Yoga studio about 10 min from my house. My girlfriend goes there once-a-week and sees Trish all the time. I will relay the message that Eli says "hi":wink1:

That pic has a regular WWE World Heavyweight replica in it. Most belts are flat but can be curved (unless it's Ultra Deluxe w/ 4mm plates).

I own 9 of those little belts along with display stand. They are approximately 12" long and made of the same materials as the adult replicas.

I own the Royal Rumble 07 Plaque. Winded up getting it off clearance from their site for $59.99. My buddy is a bigger wrestling fanatic and collects not only the replica belts (he owns 17 or 18) but most of the WWE and TNA Plaques. His whole basement is devoted strictly to wrestling collectibles.

I love Kaitlyn!! The giant girl that she replaced would've been interesting...but I'm glad that they brought Kaitlyn in to take her place.

You could eventually get the used Winged Eagle releathered with a different colored strap. ajsbelts.com did a few of my friends belts. He winded up doing the WCW US Belt with a Navy Blue Strap, WWF Classic IC on Black , and WCW Tag Team on Red.

It's pretty sad that the WWE broke the lineage between the NWA/WCW title and the current World Heavyweight title, though I don't think they could have any claim to the NWA title history when that was in WCW. All the prestige of past holders like David Arquette, Vince Russo and Goldberg all went down the drain.

Thanks! Would you say that the mini belt plates could be used for a 1/6 figure if you replaced the plates?

I was thinking of collecting some championship belts. I like the classic Winged belt and the WCW belt even the UFC belt is pretty cool to. They look real classy unlike the Spinner belt which looks too tacky and bling..bling for my taste.

Nice choices! I prefer the older belts myself. While I don't mind some recent belts, the Spinner should've been a one off during Cena's original run...much like Stone Cold's Smoking Skull belt.

Love this thread! Been a big WWE fan my whole life. I own the Undisputed WWE and World Heavyweight titles.

I use this belt for my figures.

Doesn't fit around the waist of my Hot Toys, but it does the job. Only pic I have at the moment

Here is a comparison of my mini belts and a Hot Toys BD Iron Man 1/6 Scale fig:
