After War Machine and the Mark IV most likely. So... nobody has a clue.

But somebody knows to expect it Jan/Feb of 2011.

The hold-up on this & the Mark 4 is approval of the facescuplt by RDJ.

Downey held up the release of the BD Mark 3 so long that HT said "screw it" and reused the Mark 2 sculpt...

Licensor approval can be a drag...

But this figure looks all killer, no filler. The battle damaged panels look incredible . . . as does the improved engineering & articulation.

I hope the battle damage on the mask looks good inhand ..the mark 3's was not great imo ..but i mainly disliked that head due to its weird shape, i hope that won't happen with this figure.

I guess you can decide which one is better

To confirm, they both have the glossy finish like the battle-damaged Mark III, correct? Some of the photos of the Mark VI have me concerned that it won't have the metallic finish.

Mark VI has all the extras which is very good but I can only afford 1 IM, so it has to be IV, which looks undamaged...I know you can replace the battle damaged parts of the Mark VI, but aren't there stll some places with discouloring/battle damage that can't be replaced on the VI? Or am I tripping?

VI's "clean" mode will be like MK III BD, a few scratches here and there.

I hate IV. He never did anything but **** around in that suit. VI is when he actually used it like he should.

No I think having the Mark 5 and either the IV or VI will be plenty enough for me. I don't really need a complete line-up of Iron Man suits.

If anything I am getting the Mark VI too. I didn't mind that he had that suit and did little fighting in what I dislike is how similar to the Mark III it is. It really didn't add much. I say that the Mark II was useless in the first film but at least as a figure it looks radically different. For the price of these I just want something a bit different.

mark 2 and mark 4 together make sense
mark 4 on its own is kinda pointless unless you have a giant doughnut.
someone on here said they where going to make one, i wonder how that went???

I just noticed that at some point that revised the battle damage on the chest and his upper left arm. I'm not sure which is more current, but I imagine it had something to do with mass-production.

I love how this figure looks in his "clean" mode in the two images to the left here. The battle-damaged facemask looks proportionately wrong by comparison, which I don't understand considering it should just be the same piece of plastic painted differently.

:gah: not this again ..we had this problem with bdm3 ..how can they make that obvious design flaw twice??

Yeah I only display the battled-damaged Mark III mask open because it looks...wrong. Very wrong. On the Mark VI it almost looks like the jaw is larger on the head wearing the battle-damaged facemask. What would make this especially odd is that the facemasks are interchangeable on the Mark VI, so you can opt to have the damaged face on either the light-up head or the one containing the Tony Stark headsculpt. If the faceplates were actually different, as they appear to be, it wouldn't fit the other head.

Then by your own logic they cannot be different. Likely just ligting and angle to give you the illusion of different proportion just like how your real face looks skinnier in real life becaus of shadows that hint at different shapes whereas a flashed out pic of that face just makes you look chubby as these cues are missing

Unless the lower jaw is wider on the helmet containing the headsculpt, and they're consistently using that head with the battle-damaged mask in all of the promotional photos and on-display prototypes. You'd be right that it must just be the lighting or the angle, except that I've got a dozen or more photos of the Mark VI prototype taken from different angles and environments and the damaged mask looks equally wrong in all of them.

I think you're right about this! I think the sculpt with the head underneath has a bigger jaw, making the design look different than on the other head.

But, since we never seen the RDJ-helmet sculpt for the Mk VI, maybe they're using the MK III BD one for these promotional shots and we'll get a good proportioned version when the fig comes out? :dunno

When does this come out? I've been waiting forever. And who knows when the Mark VI will show up? :huh :impatient:

That could turn out to he very true. Good point.
