You keep your screen at 0%?!?!!? How do you use it? Do you mean that the screen shuts off when not in use? Then yeah, I do that too.

What are you getting for battery life?

Technically I think it's 3% but the widget adujstment says 0%. I can see fine unless outside and then I adjust it to auto and it cranks it up high enough to see outside. But yeah I'd say 95% of the time it's at the 0%, with sync only when on wifi, background data turned off, gps turned off, wifi off unless I'm at home, no updating widgets, no live wallpaper and I'm lucky to be at 30% at the end of the day after a lot of stand by with screen off, maybe an hour of talk time, some internet surfing, and a little putzing around in general throughout the day.

F yeah on the 2.2 tomorrow.

Personally I wouldn't want a phone that I had to adjust the brightness to 3%.

That said, I think there is something that you may be missing. You should be gettting way better battery life out of that.

My phone seems to be acting crazy since the 2.2 update. I'm not sure if it's the update or perhaps launcher pro working with the update or what but something is definitely not right.

Yeah, I had to do some shenanigans to get everything working again. I'll post details hopefully later tonight, but virtually all my problems were cured by going to settings > Applications > Manage Applications and force stopping, clearing the cache, and/or clearing data for apps that were acting up. Everything seems to be a-okay now.

The only thing that *wasn't* acting up for me was LauncherPro, so your mileage may vary.

I just went to my settings then to system info and check for updates and download. I may go back though. My phone just isn't working right anymore. It wont even go to dock mode anymore when put on the dock. The home button does nothing now. It keeps freezing and lagging and Im sure Im missing some more but I just don't know what to do.

SwiftKey is out of beta and only $0.99 on the market until the 30th, afterward it will be $3.99.

It's well worth the money. It looks a little ugly, imo, the prediction engine is second to none.

Wofford - Something is definitely up with your phone. You should probably take it in to Verizon.

Wofford - Stumbled across this post and thought of the issues you were having: https://www.androidcentral.com/froyo-factory-reset

Might be worth a shot? :huh

Thanks man. I actually did a factory reset last week and then had a friend of mine root the phone for me. I'm running flyx now with nextheme, launcher pro, and autokiller for root and the phone is about 100% better than what it was before. Still not sold on the battery life, but I'm going to see a guy at Verizon about getting the extended battery as a replacement.
