The leather collar is on the proto and looks outstanding. We will be sewing the chain into the collar soon.

Oooooooh, the suspense is killing me. My Vader is so ready for this.

cape will be done tonight as will the robe. Here is some pics of the cape with the leather collar without the chain.

once the chain is on it will pull the cape together a tad more and lay naturally.

here are some details regarding these pieces. the cape will be as accurate as I can get and will come with the leather collar and black chain. The robe underneath will be made out of the same material and looks great, but it is meant to be underneath the chest armor not over the chest armor. I had to sacrifice a few things with the robe. It looks great on maglors, but I am just being honest I would not use it if I plan on putting it over the chest armor. The cape will be 60 dollars shipped and the robe will be 20 dollars shipped. I am starting a list in the very first post for this.

When you have time, can you clarify what will show if I have the robe outside the armor? I really want to create the ANH look. The cape will cover the robes on the shoulders anyway. But let me know what I should be aware of.

Why make the robe to go underneath the armor? This is the ANH Vader...
There will be ESB and ROTJ versions farther down the road.

I'll echo WG's request, to understand whether I should get both items or just the cape.

Sign me up for a cape, but I need more images before I decide on the inner robe. Hopefully pics of it over the armor although you advise against it. Unless over the armor is out right impossible then I definitely don't want the inner robe.

I prefer the ROTJ look personally, and I will have the armor on the outside. I will probably be painting the right tusk to. That really really bugs me.

There will be ESB and ROTJ versions farther down the road.

Do you really think Sideshow will forego the opportunity to milk the fans with a reveal ROTJ Vader and a battle damaged ESB Vader?

Seriously though, I'm positive Sideshow will make all four Vader versions.

We do have plans for a new Darth Vader 12-inch figure, most likely an ROTJ version. Nothing is 100% concrete yet, but we’ll keep you in the loop.

my robe is not designed to go outside the armor but because I am honest in my work and it looks best with the armor on the outside. Yes the cape would cover it up, but if you are going to get it I would recommend putting it underneath the armor. If there is a big deal about the tunic/robe I will not be doing it at all.

I think we just don't get why it couldn't go over or under just like the sideshow one.


Maybe future pics will make it self evident. I'm sure there is just something we aren't thinking of.
