I totally agree with you solidus.
this game will give you the option to go stealth and to go all out.
This is the only game so far that got my full attention on E3.

Same here man, the trailer was awesome. Plus, I'm curious as to how the Playstation Move will be used in Rising. It would have been cool if they did a demonstration. But, one thing's for sure, that you won't be able to pull off those super-accurate cuts using the motion controls on the dual shock 3. I wanna slice watermelon, and slice it good :lol!

During Konami’s press conference, new details on Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the newest title in the long-standing Metal Gear Solid line, were released, and it has wowed the whole Konami E3 press conference crowd. The details, which has been just unveiled, includes the just shown trailer includes Zan Datsu which is the concept.

The trailer showcases Raiden fighting off the cyborgs. Raiden pull out the guts from the cyborg- a stomach battery so you can take the cyborg and mech life and energy. Players strategize what you want to take and really aim where you cut. It’s a little bit further than the typical action sword games on the market today.

The director is saying and as you can see, you were able to cut anything and in any angle you wish in MGS: Rising. But as you saw in the watermellon part, you can decide how much you wish to cut in a certain angle. The development team are still working with the system, but they want to make sure it’s fun to keep cutting and cutting .Of course Metal Gear Solid: Rising will have stealth elements but not like past MGS iterations. Also can decide whether to cut vital areas and if you wish to cut to kill enemies. The game will utilize Raiden’s speed.

The new hero will give you the speed and stealth so you do not need to hide on the floor anymore. The development team on Rising want to make this more like a hunting stealth title.

Now, the interesting part, the story: The story takes place between MGS2 and MGS4. Raiden’s sword strikes fear into enemies, so it’s clear they’re aiming to raise Raiden’s popularity a lot in Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

I don't know the in and out of it, but it probably depends on how Medicom's contract has the rights locked down. (or even if they still have it for that matter as the recent figures are just remakes of the originals they released and nothing new)

Getting this 4 sure ..and hot toys better get the license 4 this or i will "cut" them!

That would be really nice if they did.

This game looks like it has great potenial, I can imagine it having more of a fun factor than any previous mgs title and maybe neat unlockables like grayfox as an alternate payable character even!

New details:

Attacks against foes needn't be as brutal and bloody as in the trailer; it's possible instead to simply disable enemies in a nonfatal manner.

Rising will retain the series' trademark stealth emphasis. However, stealth play will be faster, and will be capable at different heights thanks to Raiden's jumping capabilities. The creators want to make it more of a hunting stealth versus the traditional evasive stealth. In addition to his blades, Raiden will also carry a number of subweapons. The ultimate goal of the game is to allow the player to perform the speedy, cool moves Raiden performed in MGS4.

I would ____ing love to play as Gray Fox!!!:thud::rock

Really hope get some good 1/6th stuff from this. Not the crap medicom put out for MGS4. With the detail there was in the game, the plain flat sculpts they put out were dissapointing!

I thought that Medicom's MGS4 Raiden looked really nice, actually.

Medicom did ok with their figure releases but, I think we can all agree... Metal gear deserves alot more than "ok". Even with the QC issues that have come up recently with hottoys, I know they would excell with what medicom could offer.

i thought 3A had the MGS licence

I don't believe that the MGS figure license is exclusive to one company. Besides the stuff that 3A has planned, Play Arts is releasing the Kai "Big Boss" figure next month. Who knows, we might even see some more Medicom MGS stuff in the coming months.
