Yeah another great episode and the final one should be amazing! can't wait. :rock

I am IN AWE! That was possibly the best season finale of ANY show I have ever seen!! :rock:rock

I LOVE that the freakin PROPHET was God all along! Well, at least at the end it was supposed to be all along. The best part is...when Dean asked him "How's it all going to end". I think God/prophet's answer of "I honestly don't know" really was genuin. IN fact I think that was the point of the "Test"...God wanted to see how free will played out.

Brilliant really. The Angels had no free will. AS much as they wanted to, they were subserviant to the end. Even the devil was meant to be the devil. Thats why God enjoyed and loved the humans....they offered the unknown to the omnipotent.

I think Cas's proclamation of being "new and improved", and then "I don't know what God wants, or even if he will come home...but it seems right" was intended to display that Cas was the first Angel with free will. A result of the success found in Sam and Dean. Michael and Lucifer were "destined to fight" and so gave in to fighting a brother to the death. Sam and Dean were destined to end up on different sides, but fought destiny for one another. LOVED THAT FINALE!!

Seemed that was the series finale but we have been told that there is one more. I stood in front of the tub for the last 10 min. It was great and I'm still collecting my thoughts/feelings of this ep.

Agree, fantastic "ending" to the series...lol.

One thing I'm not sure they'll address or not: since Bobby was killed by Lucifer and then brought back by Cas, how does that affect his contract with Crowley??

And do you think we'll still get the great one-liners from Cas now that he is new and improved?

"Oh, I was supposed to lie wasn't I?"

Yeah it was definately geared to be the series finale. Which up until the middle of this year....it was. Sam standing under the street light right after it went out was a bit creepy. AND, a perfect jumping off point for next season.

One thing I worry about...the show has had direction to this conclusion since season 1. Not as strong in season 1 of course, but after that it was ALL heading this direction. I worry that season 6 will suffer from lack of direction...

Yeah, it felt like the show's original ending was to leave Dean with his family and then they tacked Sam's appearance on when it was picked up for next year. I hope there will be an interview out there to see how closely this episode followed with the originally planned ending for the series. How do you top fighting against Lucifer and Angels/Archangels next year? I hope they don't try to build a "Is Sam still Lucifer?" type angle through the whole season next year.

This was the intended series finale until they got signed on for a sixth season. I debate on if Sam was still going to be there at the end or not. It could have been a cliffhanger for next season or perhaps that was intended to be there as a cliffhanger series finale. Kinda like a Sopranos-esque series finale. However, Sara Gamble and Kripke said season 6 will most likely be a monster of the week season like season 1. Kripke only wanted 5 seasons so he is now stepping down as the exec producer and letting Sara Gamble take over. He's still going to be involved in the show though but the story he intended for 5 seasons is over and so he is stepping down.

That being said, that ep was epic. Fantastic. Best season finale ever. :duff I just want to know what Sam's story is now that the apocolypse storyline is done. With this 2nd life does he still have powers if their use was played out and Lucifer is gone? Or is he human? LOVE THIS SHOW.

I agree with everything said. I luved this episode. the army man in the ash tray bringing sammy back and all the flashes that follwed just tied all the seasons into this one episode. If it was the last ep it was a great way to end it. I wouldnt turn down watching them hunt down monsters each week tho. :lol

Nothing more I can say that haven't been said before....just an amazing ending.

Best part of the episode was..."ASS BUTT!!!!!!" :lol Cas has the final best line award from me.

Can see that the 5-season-arcthat Kripke wrote at the beginning of the show is over and what an awesome arc it was. Don't honestly know where they can go from here. I would love to see more episodes, but I don't know if I would enjoy just monster-of-the-week episodes.

SOOOO....am I to assume that God aka Chuck :lol brought Sam back from Hell ????

Thinking it was Sam, but I rewatched the last two min. Could it be Luc? I tried to pay attention to the face for any movement. I for one could handle more seasons of kill'n monsters.

Yeah i'm not sure if it's Lucifer or Sam either but how could it be Lucifer? i thought he was trapped again. Either way that episode was awesome and really sad.

I'd also be up for a season of monster of the week. :rock

It could be Lucifer. Others are saying that Sam may be an Angel now :dunno However, Kripke said the Lucifer story was over so I don't think he's Lucifer.

Yeah i just can't see how it could be Lucifer, But maybe a Angel i guess we will just have to wait and see.

The last one, Heart Of The Dragon was kinda disapointing 'cause it was all about John and the grandparents. Sam and Dean were hardly in it. Hopefully this'll be good :rock

Ok well i'll let you read it first then just lmk if it's not good, i'll save the cash then. :lol
