goingn on my birthday on april 14th with a few friends before going out. I would have gone earlier but they all want to see it so I might as well wait. It is getting very good reviews from what I've seen , I'm looking forward to this. :rock

Not to brag, but I work at a movie theater and have bagged all the posters so far. The individual character posters are my favorite. I'm getting so excited for this movie!

I have just seen the movie and it's awesome.
I'm going to try and do a YouTube review tonight, Spoiler Free of course
I gave it 9 out of 10 on the rate the last movie you have seen thread

Damn. The only advance screenings I get are crappy comedies, and indie movies....:(

WHY WONT YOU GIVE ME KICKASS MOVIES LIKE KICK ASS!

Here's my YouTube review.
I'm more used to reviewing Hot Toys figures instead of movies, but I have given it my best shot. Spoiler free

So I was lucky enough to be one of the last people in line to be let into an advance screening of "KICK ASS," free of charge of course. Everyone was patted down and had metal detector wand waved over us to make sure no recording, phones were not allowed in the theatre.

This movie is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost didn't make it into the theatre, as it was a packed house, but still got a great seat. My friend, who read comics as a kid but not anymore, enjoyed the hell out of it too.

I will see it again, probably on opening day. No spoilers, but Hit Girl steals the show and Big Daddy, played by Nicholas Cage, is hilarious as a pseudo Batman.

It stayed fairly true to the comic for about the first half, then totally deviates, which is good, because I don't thinking the ending of the comic version would have translated well on film to majority of audiences.

Do yourself a favor and be sure to see this movie. It's hilarious and the violence is so over the top, that it's very entertaining. Definitely deserves the "R" rating.

I caught an advance press screening last night and I concur - This movie is awesome!

It's a total blast from start to finish. I haven't read the series, but I know a good bit about it and any fan of comic books or superhero flicks is really going to dig this.

I'm glad to hear you guys are giving it the thumbs up. I always worry when Hollywood gets ahold of something cool.

no shame in seeing movies alone, I do it all the time. Actually, sometimes I prefer it. It's not like you can talk during the movie anyways.

this movie is getting so much positive feedback from fans its amazing.

Is an amazing film and there's enough change to the comic to keep it exciting, they fit into the same universe perfectly. Although I was glad I read the comic first as the movie does away with what's meant to be a twist in the book.
