Gee, I leave to go see a movie and chaos ensues. Congrats to the lucky Mummy recipients.

I would of had to cut into emergency funds to pay for it now anyways, so it's best I didn't catch it on time.

Watching Twitter really hasn't been very useful. The only reason I knew to watch it closely today was from the little blurb in the bottom of the Newsletter Express Update that went out earlier.

Facebook, I've never even peeked at.

Believe me, if I ever encounter a useful "Tweet", I'll let you all know. Those Mummys went too fast, though.

yeah, I too rarely even bothered with their twitter or facebook (never flickR). The express mail pretty much told you to be on the look out today.

It's funny. I'm not a huge horror guy - especially not huge into the blood and guts things. But I love the Uni Monster SSE editions. They just make me feel nostalgic - which is one of my favorite emotions :D

I'm in the film business, and I remember watching these movies as a kid with my dad. They're part of the reason I wanted to be in the film business. They're classic flicks with iconic characters, and they remind me of good times in my childhood with my pops. What could be better!

Okay, my tender Spook moment is over. ... lol

When you were a kid out in CA, did you get a late night Saturday show called "Horror Incorporated" with Uni-monsters?

Ahhh, okay. Grew up in CT? Anywhere near Bristoll where ESPN is headquartered?

Yes. I grew up in Watertown, which is about 20 mins from Bristol. My first job as a kid was at Bristol Hospital. I worked in the laundry room there. Talk about Spooky and yucky!

I even worked on a Mangler (a machine that folds sheets) - like the Stephen King movie is named for.

EVERY job the rest of my life is bound to be better than my first one!

At least it didn't try to kill you! :D

Of all the stories in Nightshift I think I enjoyed The Mangler the most.

I did get a little weird at the end though when it came to life and moved around. Before that though, it was a good story. I'm still a big fan of the Shining and the Stand though. I always wonder what I would do being placed in simular situations (snowed in at a hotel, surviving the Swine Flu, etc.).

Yeah, I had a hard time picturing it moving.

And you're right, King does put his characters in some pretty tough spots. The Mist especially. :horror

The Mangler was hilarious.

Robert England is soooo over the top.

HELLS BELLS ADEL!

Goddamnt goddamnt GOODDAMNNIT!

Ahhh Frolly...you stupid old ^^^^^...

Oh yeah, Mist is another good one!

I haven't read that much more of King, but I've liked everything I've read of his. My Dad has read all of his books so he always has good suggestions for me on what to read. Unfortunatley a lot of his books don't seem to be available in audiobooks at my library. I do data entry all day at work so we get to listen to head phones. I've "read" a lot more books lately because of this. I just wish there was more King to listen to.

Yikes! I've never liked laundry rooms.

Seeing little boys in suits give me the creeps to.:horror:lol

Never even knew there was such a device called a Mangler...LOL
