Joe:

Keeping in mind I have almost all the Marvel SS and a few CM including the Predator:

CIM Ex
Spiderman Ex NOOOO. It is too classic.

Thing PF Ex Maybe, but I like mine so no. You never know when SS will do the other 3

Cap Reg PF Sell it and get the exclusive. If you don't want to, keep the Cap America, for some reason this piece get's attention whether you like Cap America or not.

Punisher Reg PF Yes.

Custom 1/4 Scale Hulk Yes, since you have the SS one. Keep the SS one.

Save up for the rest, or borrow. It doesn't sound like you buy outrageously, and you are more quality over quantity collector. If you can afford to buy it now for under $2000, do it. It is an incredible piece. I had 2 SS Exc Pred and sold them to get the CM (well I actually had them SS and CM on display for a little while)

I made a decision to collect mostly Marvel/DC and a few other odds and ends. That meant all my Alien and Predator stuff went(is still going) EXCEPT for the CM Predator, CM Alien, CM Terminator Arnold, CM Endo, SS 1:2 Endo.

My alien bust (sold), Pred Bust (orig, sold), SS Exc Predators (2 of them sold), Terminator Bust (still haven't put if for sale) etc, all gone/going.

1:2 Scale IM Yes, keep it

CM Predator Get it.

CM Superman Get it

Wolverine Comiquette (he's not going anywhere, he was my first SS piece)

Hulk PF Keep this and get the commiquette. The PF will become historic.

Thor PF I have this piece, not crazy about it, but I keep it because it is part of the avengers, or I would sell it in a heart beat.

Punisher Comiquette Looks to be like a good one, most likely a keeper.

Damn nice post B29 and thanks for the advise/observations. You don't own anything Batman? :lol

The only thing I differ with you on is the Thor PF, I love that piece so much I want to lick it sometimes....:lol

I am now more than ever dead set on getting this Predator, sometime this week I will begin posting my stuff in the For Sale spot.

I remember my jaw hitting the ground when I first saw him and months later it still has that same effect, that's how I know it's a must for me.

Sacrifices must be made in life.

It's funny: I would take the CM Predator over the 1:2 Iron Man and don't even blink. You get more detail in your sculpture and it's from such a cult classic film. You know, back in the good old days prior to CGI...

Iron Man is a cool superhero movie but not in the same class.

As far as eye catching detail goes, I agree that it's no match between the 2, Pred has a ton more going on but it's also not fair to IM because afterall, he is encased in slick metal where Pred is crazy tall and busy looking with jaws that open up like a hand.

I'm excited for IM because even though he's less detailed, at 40" I believe he will still represent Marvel in a wonderful way in my collection.

Regarding iconic, Pred is definately a well recognized Alien-Monster, even my 160 year old grandmother looks at him and instantly says "Predator, 1987 movie where he killed all those wise talking soldiers and battled arnold" :lol

I loved...loved District 9 as an action-sci-fi movie but 22 years from now I won't be wanting to own a CM Prawn....:lol

Regarding IM, he's been around quite a bit longer than Pred and is definately part of Marvel's Central Nervous System and his movie was loved by the general public and core fans alike, I think he's just as exciting a collectible as Predator.

I'm going to love both...:lol

I just have this feeling than when all is said and done Predator is the better value.

Also rememeber that "Movie Iron Man" and "Comics Iron Man" is 2 completely different things. Not just in looks but the characters. Iron Man was never really cool until like about 7 years ago. I remember when about 13 years ago in the comics they turned him into a teenager because the character was not that interesting.

Just my opinion of the character and how he is handled. The overexposure he is getting now will certainly take it's toll. Robert Downey Jr factor and all.

What IM lacks in detail vs the Predator he makes up for it in height, 40" vs 32" :lol

Mmmmmm...Shiny Metal.

I wish neither were $2,000 but that's what they are and that's what I will have to put out if I want them....:banghead

I thought that was the SS Hulk. Just saw its the custom ... yes .. Id sell..... :monkey1

I say you should follow the winning results of your own poll and Sell your Blood and keep all your Marvel and purchase CM Predator and just accept the divorce!

I know, my wife saw that and now it's nothing but ball busting.

She handed me a blood bank flyer and an attorney card and said I had work to do if I wanted Mr. P in my collection.

Damn me and my sense of humor.

All to make Skiman laugh and he didn't even visit the thread.

Soon I'll be visiting the For Sale section, can't wait for no one to purchase my items, so excited for that :lol
