The pics don't look that cheap. I couldn't care less if Sideshow's official name is on the bottom of it anyway. Besides, they aint makin any more.

Honestly... if I can't afford or find the original of something it's just not meant to be in my collection.
There will most likely be another 1:1 bust of an Aliens Warrior at some point... IMO, its better to wait and buy that then give money to recasters and/or own an inferior copy.

One upside to a recast is that it might not way a ton like the original. I had the original and that damn thing was heavy to move around.

I'd be all over the recast if I could risk losing that kind of money to an overseas seller.

what I don't like the idea of is buying something recasted from the works of something stan winston studios was involved in.
I can't think of many specific reasons as to why .. something just doesn't feel right about buying that.
The team that worked on the movie made it you know... then another company recasts there work and profit from it by us fans buying it...

I respect everyone's opinion as to why they wouldn't even spit in the direction of a recast.
If the piece was altered in design or whatever, I'd feel the same way. However, with something that's sold out, and having EBAY tear me a new one.... recast all the way.
To me, it's like saying you don't want to buy a collectible because it wasn't the actual prop used in the movie. All I'm looking for is something that accurately represents that "thing" and I'm happy.

What I think would be really great is if Sideshow themselves would watch and see who buys one of these, and then forbid them from buying anything else from SS. Because they bought from people that are stealing from Sideshow.
I'd laugh my ass off.

This was brought up in the other original thread for this. Exactly how is anyone "stealing" from Sideshow if Sideshow no longer produces/sells these!?
