Everyone is just trying to be helpful and offer advice....what has worked for some may not have worked for others. It's best that people cover ALL THEIR BASES.

But please, let's not derail this thread and start going after each other for giving advice.

You can add me to the list of people "taken".

I too checked his feedback and decided to make a deal with him. I was supposedly buying a T-800 Endoskull (CLEAN VERSION) for $700. Thought it was too good to be true. I paid through paypal with a credit card. I filed a claim but also called my credit card company. They immediately credited my money back.

My story was he sold it to me on last thursday on the 14th and said it was shipped friday. He then said he would send me the tracking over the weekend but had to run out of town for a "family emergency". I noticed him online several times but he never replied to my many emails. I too noticed broken english. Just look at his profile under his interests.

Hope you guys get your money back. This whole thing puts a sour taste in my mouth and makes me gunshy about trading on here. Maybe the feedback thread should be separate for buyers and sellers

Hmmm,
Clean skull for $700????
You did not use common sense my friend. That price will never happen. EVER. Please don't let this transaction reflect negatively on the board, I have met nobody but honest and dedicated collectors.

I think changing the feedback thread to buyers/sellers at this point would be a very, very time consuming task - since it has been around for several years now. Also - many people just leave a feedback of +1 with no other input -

It is always good to leave a description of the transaction with your feedback whether it be good seller...fast payment...good trade, etc....and then one can do a search of that person and be able to see what type of transaction he/she has had on this board.

I'm up for suggestions on how to make this better....I just don't think it will be easy to retroactively go through and split up everyone's feedback to buyer/seller.

Sorry for derailing the thread. I will start a new thread where this can be further discussed and hopefully some past feedback czars and/or mods can offer their advice as well.

Honestly, and this is nothing against those of you who are new, but I only deal with members who have been on for a long time who I chat with on a regular basis. Or that I know posts on here a substantial amount. That is when I am buying. Sometimes bad things still happen though even with dealing with long term members. I can think of two names that I shall not name that were very big on the boards before they started ripping people off. When I am selling I don't care who you are. You got the money send it my way and I will ship. :lol

As for the common sense comment. It would seem to hold true. However, sometimes board members sell stuff for what you may think is a too good to be true price. Teemu is a prime example. He usually has excellent prices and is very reputable.

I actually sold to Bronxbeast. He paid right away and I shipped to him accordingly.

I sincerely hope that anyone affected gets their money back and this guy gets what is coming to him.

I believe the information has been sent to Dave so we will see what he decides to do with it and which authorities to get involved.

One thing people mentioned is that as he is now banned he cannot communicate with the forum, welll he has Dave's email address.
So if he does try to log on and wonders what has happened, if he is legit he can email Dave. So IF he does want to come through and make these sales right, he has a point of contact for the forum.

In the meantime, as many have mentioned I would advise everyone that has been affected by this to go to your CC's/ Paypal and dispute the charges immediately.

Lets all concentrate on helping the people affected by this rather than bickering amongst each other.

Same here. He was very quick with payment. Then again, he may have simply taken the money he ripped off and paid us with it.

Don't let this experience change your mind about this forum. All the transactions I have done here are with people that are courteous, honest, friendly and trustworthy.

You are always going to run into a POS, but that doesn't describe the rest of the freaks here.

I belong to another forum where to give feedback you go to a feedback section, choose 0 (neutral), +1 (positive) or -1 (negative). Then you have to choose if you are the seller, buyer or if it was a trade, then you put a link to the thread where the transaction took place and finally you could write a little comment. Under your name in your posts then a number appears with your feedback score. Perhaps is a different software that they use.

I banned him so he couldn't offer other things to members and continue scamming and I sent him a message about why he was banned and what needed to happen.

I have his address (thank you all that sent it to me) and will be happy to share it with anyone who has sent him money. He is definitely in the Bronx.

Please do not suggest email bombing him - I can't see how that would be helpful in any way, shape or form. Also physical threats will be deleted.

Hopefully this will be resolved.

Per the issue of Buyer/Seller feedback, it only takes a little investigation on the part of the Curious. Put the person's name in question in a search within the thread, find out who left the feedback, and contact them. Many times you can tell right in the post whether the person in question was the seller or the buyer.

Really though, an effective feedback is like the following:

+1 to [insert name] for the item he sold me.

or

+1 to [insert name] for the quick payment.

These are just examples, but its helpful for everyone and it makes your feedback a real point of reference.

I can understand that it might affect how you would feel about buying/trading with others after something like this has happened.
However I can assure you that hundreds of transactions have been made on this forum, if not more and mostly with great success.
Unfortunately a few bad apples try to tarnish what we have here which is a community that looks after each other, and none of us should let them ruin it, they are not worth it.
Yes the situation sucks for the people involved so we can all encourage/advise and help each other along to get through it.

Hopefully everything will be resolved and all affected will get their money back in one way or another

Yes,
I learned this technique early on and is something I always do before conducting a transaction. The feedback system in place works, it's up to members to utilize it for its full potential

Jen, perhaps you should tell people that +1 is no longer accepted. they have to write +1 for buying ...... or +1 for selling ....... I do agree that changing the feedback thread at this point is crazy, besides who would do it? I doubt it that you have the time, or would even want to do it, right?

I agree, I have only bought in here. I have posted some items for sale but I guess no one was interested in them so my feedback is only as a buyer. Before I send people money I do a little research, see their time in the board, amount of posts, etc. Specially if I am sending a couple of hundreds. With Bronxbeast I got suspicious since the first time he contacted me, but since it was only $25 I decided to go for it. He "sold" me a Salacious Crumb that comes with the Sideshow slave Leia PF. C'mon, $25 shipped? Right. I decided not to listen to my gut instinct and I learned, :lol

Thank you for clarifying that, it was one of my main concerns. If he is legit he will contact Dave and say what ever has happened and try to make things right.

Same here. He was very quick with payment. Then again, he may have simply taken the money he ripped off and paid us with it.

"Stealing from Peter to pay Paul..."

Yep, he went on a shopping spree with our money. A smart POS after all, bastard!!

We are evaluating an update to the feedback process going forward. Unfortunately re-doing what has gone before isn't practical.

how the hell has so many people dealt with this person and I have no idea he even existed. :lol

I am curious Dave, did he ever respond to your e-mail? Also, why did his last activity changed after he was banned? It went from 12:03 PM to 9:53 PM. Is that the time that he tried logging in perhaps?

I have asked on the first post of the feedback thread for people to leave a brief description of what kind of transaction they are leaving feedback for. Whether or not people will see it, I do not know.

If anyone leaves feedback of +1, I will PM them to please edit their post and leave a description.
