Thanks Josh. I actually thought he was pretty decent right out of the box, but these figures ALWAYS need futzing to be right. I saw how Greg did his and sort of followed his lead in terms of folding and ironing. I had a look at the tie and knew I could make it longer, so I did!

He was pretty decent or at least I was happy with mine but I did mess with it some to make it look better. I guess I should take pics of him. :lol

Well Boot, going by this photo of Indy and Belloq meeting in the cafe on TheRaider.net....

Well, there ya go. Good enough for me. :whip

Not only that, but it would appear that the actual wardrobe tie has some sort of pattern that they didn't even remotely attempt to put on the figure's.

I was trying to be supportive of the figure before, but now I'm really starting to think that a Tanis dig outfit would have been a better idea.

Great futz, IF!!! Belloq looks terrific! Even if the hat is tilted the wrong way, yes, (good eyes Nam) but it looks way better tilted to the right than straight on. That tie fix really helps too.

Thanks Greg! I'm sure i'm not finished yet, but so far I'm pretty happy with him as he is...Until I decide to shake it up and go 'Tanis Digs' version like yours! :rock

New pictures on Sideshow's website. They look terrible! They really couldn't be bothered to futz even a little bit with the figure??? I did some minimal futzing and it helped loads! I'm pretty happy with him with the minor things I did, like tugging the jacket here and there, and folding up the pants. But in the new pics the jacket especially looks bad.

Well, they certainly did SOME futzing. At this angle, there's no way the snap could be hidden. I'm curious if they removed it in real life or in Photoshop.

Resized and cropped a bit from SS hi-res pic.

Speaking of that, I finally got around to FUTZING "Dig" Belloq today.

This is old news, and not the best pose, but I want the suit to dry correctly before I figure out how to pose him best. I did a lot of little tweaking, not much to speak of but I wanted to get the suit to lay right; shirt collar, pants, belt, all that stuff.

the suit jacket is wayyy to short. It should be down to the bottom of his hands. You've managed to make yours look much much better though!! :)

Thanks guys!

the suit jacket is wayyy to short. It should be down to the bottom of his hands.

I know, I know, that's one of many problems. The lapels are too short too -- they should come halfway down the jacket -- and the band in the back is way too low, etc. Basically, the jacket is 1/7th scale. :)

But you know, I'm liking him better all the same.

Actually Boot.. I thought the same thing until I went back and viewed the DVD.. that wavy pattern is just how the screen capture from the web makes the tie appear and he was moving back really quickly... the actual tie is in fact just polka dots.. that image is blurred..

Yes sir! No image thread is complete without that post-futz doily shot! :)

I've been bad about not taking pics lately. Didn't get any shots taken this weekend as I was working on a directive from work on a new way to teach my class. It had to be done this weekend for Monday. So hopefully tomorrow when I get home I can.
