Yeah, I'd love so see more done with this license, providing they get a new body and don't screw it up or rest on their laurels which is clearly what they have done with this and Indy.

TR: Underworld, TR: Legend (The Evening Dress, or Biker Outfit), TR Classic Outfit, etc... alot they could do, but I am wary after this first one.

I thought that SSC said there were no plans for a female prometheus on the horizon....

No, they probably don't. Why should they improve on crap? Why should they actually make a decent female body for upcoming figures? Honestly, Sideshow is simply resting on their laurels because they know that enough collectors will buy their products (crap or not) to even care about QC or improvements. That is why they half assed this one.

Any pictures of how she looks. How did you get the hands to go on. I just bought the same body and am thinking of trying it out myself.

Yup! Just finished repainting the lips. Aside from the body & wristposts, not much in the way of mods...replaced the grenades with BBi ones, and the rifle with a DML H&K. Skintone between the head and body match isn't perfect, but not too bad either. Only other change I might make is to resew the short into the Daisy Duke shorty-shorts more accurate to the character.

For the hands, I bought some loose Cy Girl 2.0 gloved hands, heated them up, and popped the pegs out. These popped right into the Sideshow Lara gloved hands.

Please forgive the quality of the pics, was just taking some quick shots.

looks great but u need to get a darker body

Actually, it's mostly the lighting in the pics that makes it look worse than it is. It really is not that bad in person. I've seen several production figures that had a *much* worse body/head skintone match.

That is Takara's CY Girl body. '2.0' I think.

Here's her on the BBI Perfect body.

Can anybody tell me exactly which BBI Perfect body is this? And any links to where I could buy one?

Also, is Lara compatible with Triad bodies?

Thanks in advance! :)

I'd say it's either the caucasian perfect body or Mystere body. OJI carries them and has been fairly reliable: https://www.oldjoeinfirmary.com/

For Triad bodies, Lara's head can be crammed down on to the Otaku caucasian body, but the skintone is too light. You could probably also put it on the Soldier Story S1 body that Triad also carries...this one may be a closer color match, but occasionally these have some ugly seams you may want to clean up first.

The main issue with putting the Sideshow head onto any other body is the neck. Buck Bodies have a longer neck that goes up into the head, so when put on other bodies, the head sits down low and looks awkward. The Otaku body is fair enough skintone wise, and the neck is long enough to make it sit properly.

Actually, the caucasian Otaku was way too pale. I tried it last night before finishing up my Lara to see if I wanted to switch bodies. It was pretty glaring so I went back to the 2.0 which was a lot closer in tone. The neck issue wasn't that bad unless you really, really shove it down on to the neckpost.

Well, before you jump on one from ebay, check out OJI's as I put in the prior link :) They're under $20 and a very reliable dealer.

I did, thanks. Just checking ebay for better images of the actual body (they had only few thumbnails images).

And yup...that's Mystere's body. Someone else said it was a great match on the skintone, but I don't currently have one.

Cool! Thanks for letting me know.:D

Hi guys, I've been reading this forum for a bit and I'd like to share another possibility for conversion here. I respect that not everyone will agree with me on my negative take on the SS headsculpt (should be SS headsculpt paintwork, thanks devilof76 for pointing out), but enjoy the pics all the same. Cheers!

shame you kinda gotta get 3 figures to make the better looking one. PB body, SS Laura, and NECA Laura. But from those pictures (even though its SS body) it looks pretty good.

I have my Lara on a BBI body...the skintone is slightly lighter but it is not bad at all.

The head will stay on the joint solid but it is almost "too heavy" and will roll around.

You will need to modify the Sideshow hands to get them to fit in the BBI hand joints...just be warned of that. If you don't want to modify, you might be better off finding a pair of fingerless gloved hands that will fit the BBI joints.

Thanks for the heads up! :) Will have to decide once the figure arrives.
