I have the Laura Croft figure and she's great!I may even be one of the few who like the headsculpt. Now I see a lot of folks aren't happy with it, so my question is what did you expect? it's an action figure! In any event glad I picked this one up.

for me i wish it looked more like the prototype...a little more video game/cartoonish. but i still love it and can't wait for more lara....speaking of which we need another lara SS!!

That is freaking awesome.

I just swapped the entire body (head included) of Hottoys female secret service figure that I have bought into pic shown above. Will post pic when I get my camera back.

Sideshow needs to take down the proto image and put up the real product image. I bought this for a friend and they were very disappointed with the final face features compared to what they saw on the advertised site. Anyone else have similar stories with other figures?

Hi, thought I'd show my own kitbash using a Hot Toys body.

I bought up the Emergency Response Team female and Ellen Ripley types to make the switchover because I wasn't sure which bust/trunk size would fit better. The (bigger) ERT arrived first and I just went ahead with it.
The neck post was sanded down to the shape of a Q-Tip but I still had to widen out the head's neck hole. After getting the Ripley body, it turned out the ERT body's skin tone matched the head perfectly.
The larger bust and trunk makes for a tight clothing fit but all it takes is patience. Couldn't say the same for the boots, so I went with some other military boots which are kinda large. The gloved Ripley hands were ported over. They're not sculpted to hold guns, so I might modify the SS hands later on.

In retrospect the CYGirl/BBI body may be a better choice if one wanted the figure to hold great dynamic poses like splits and high kicks. But in this case I went after the HT body because I thought the rubber skin torso would look better in the short outfit, rather than a bare segmented waist. I know, the arms aren't pretty either, but that's my choice.

BTW, does anyone know what the thin black piece is that's packed between the red flares? Where does it go on the figure?

She looks very cool! :whip

As for your question, its her PLS (Personal Light Source). The early model of the game had two flares:

But in the game they ended up giving here a PLS instead:

Finally got around to putting the blue sweater on the SS Lara and repainting her face. Also took a picture next to the Jolie kitbash/custom I'm working on.

I just finished reviewing the ZC Girl Julia (I take it that's the head you used) I said in the review I thought with a repaint there was a great Jolie in there, you proved me right!

Here are a few pics of her-

Yep, thats the one unfortunately mine was shipped from overseas with only one leg holster in the box.

Have you tried contacting ZC Girl direct, they 'might' be able to help you.
Mine came with two identical left hands... did yours have a pistol grip left hand?
I had to use a blob of Blu-Tack to hold the gun.

Here's the ZC website link-

The new Biker chic looks cool.

That looks really good, like the hands. But sand down those cow nipples.

I got my Lara Croft yesterday at 4:30 pm.:D
I usually go to bed at 5pm(I work nights).
I wanted to dress Lara in the shorts and tank top outfit before I went off to sleep.
I'll tell you that was a mistake.
I got her pants, boots and jacket off no problem,I put her shorts, gun holsters, socks and boots back on with zero problems.
I tried getting her tank top on from 5pm till 6pm with zero luck.WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. I gave up and went to bed.
I came home from work this morning and finally after 20 minutes I got the damn thing on.
She looks great.:naughty
I didn't get a grappling hook with mine. Did anyone get one?
I'll take pics of her later on this weekend...
:banana

Super Poseable, you got one tight looking figure there! But I have to agree with everyone else on the nipples.

All in all I really liked this figure a lot but I wanted something a little more toward her classic look. So this is my classic Lara wip.

The tanktop is just a reworked sweater I picked up from Toy Angst. The boots are Dragon, I think. Still needs a new belt and some shorts, and brown backpack. Might swap her body out too.
